Used 2023 Nissan Maxima for Sale near Ohio

How much does the 2023 Nissan Maxima cost?

Prices are up 1.17% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 368 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Nissan Maxima a good car?

Yes — 5/5. The 2023 Nissan Maxima stands out as a sedan that still leans hard into Nissan’s long-running “Four-door sports car” identity, and it pairs that character with a 3.5-liter V6, 300 horsepower, and a more engaging driving feel than many mainstream four-doors. It also brings standard navigation, a strong set of driver-assistance features, and a roomy-sedan mission for buyers who want extra punch without moving to a performance car.

That said, the Maxima’s size limits remain part of the story: its back seat and trunk are smallish, and the CVT makes it feel more relaxed than truly aggressive. Even with those tradeoffs, it fits well if you want a well-equipped sedan with a sporty edge and strong standard safety content.

34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Nissan Maxima reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The available information points to an average reliability record, and the Maxima’s appeal comes more from its equipment, safety content, and driving character than from a standout durability reputation. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk looks manageable, but you should still prioritize a careful inspection and service-history review before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Nissan Maxima?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with the history report to confirm accident status, title status, and maintenance patterns. After that, put the inspection focus on overall condition, especially signs of wear that could matter more on a sedan with a sportier setup and higher-mileage use. Because the Maxima’s cabin and cargo space are not especially generous, it also makes sense to check whether the interior and trunk condition match your day-to-day needs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Maxima?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly when a strong listing appears.

If you find a listing below $25,259, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Nissan Maxima's resale value?

The current average of $26,514 sits slightly above last year's $26,206.

That modest increase suggests the Maxima has held value reasonably well in the near term, which is a positive sign if you plan to resell later. The combination of steady pricing and a defined low-to-high range also suggests buyers are still willing to pay for the model’s V6 power and equipment. If you keep the car in strong condition and maintain it well, you should be in a better position when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Maxima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.17% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2023 is a good pick if you want the Maxima’s V6 power, standard equipment, and sporty-sedan personality in the current market. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth considering, especially if you can find a cleaner example with a lower asking price and similar condition.
