Otherwise, the Outlander is largely a carryover from the 2022 model. ## Design Trims for the 2023 Outlander are ES, SE, and SEL. These trims are also available in sub-trims and with special edition packages. The ES comes with 18-inch alloy wheels and fog lights. The SE Special Edition features 20-inch alloy wheels and roof rails. The (non-Special Edition) SE trim loses the roof rails. The 40th Anniversary Edition features a unique, contrasting roof design. ## Powertrain The 2023 Outlander comes equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. It generates 181 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels or to available all-wheel drive (AWD), which Mitsubishi calls Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC).
