Used 2023 Nissan Rogue for Sale nearDayton, OH

How much does the 2023 Nissan Rogue cost?

Prices have softened 6.21% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 9,771 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2023 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Generally — the 2023 Nissan Rogue earns 4.3/5 from owners and 6.7/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

Owners commonly praise the spacious interior, safety features, fuel economy, comfortable ride, and modern technology. In use, that lines up with a compact crossover that feels well suited to family duty and everyday commuting. The trade-offs are the CVT’s sometimes noisy, less confident behavior under load, plus the back-seat comfort and voice-recognition shortcomings noted by our test team. For you, that means the Rogue makes the most sense if you value comfort, efficiency, and standard safety equipment over polish in every control. Good and great deals account for 38.8% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe the Rogue as dependable in daily use, with praise centered on its comfortable ride, safety features, and fuel economy. The powertrain is presented as responsive in urban and suburban driving, and the CVT generally stays out of the way. Nissan also says the VC-Turbo setup is meant to balance strong performance with good fuel economy. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the drivetrain and infotainment complaints may matter more as mileage and age add up.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Nissan Rogue?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on any candidate, even if the listing looks clean. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the drivetrain, infotainment, and rear-seat condition, since those are the areas most likely to affect your day-to-day satisfaction. Focus on how the vehicle drives, how the controls respond, and whether the cabin shows signs of heavier use than the mileage suggests.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes S, SV, SL, and Platinum trim levels. The SV, SL, and Platinum can add Premium packages, while the Midnight Edition package is exclusive to SV trim. Base-trim equipment is more modest, so compare features carefully if you want the nicer cabin materials and upscale touches described on higher trims.
• Powertrain: The Rogue uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine with a CVT, and AWD is optional. The setup is tuned for responsive urban and suburban driving, but it can feel short on passing power on the highway.
• Safety package: Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, rear automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and automatic high-beam headlights. Higher trims can add ProPilot Assist with Navi-link, plus surround-view camera, active blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and a driver monitoring system.
• Infotainment: The Rogue uses an 8-inch or available 9-inch touchscreen. The larger setup can include wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, NissanConnect services with a Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation, wireless smartphone charging, and a Bose premium audio system. Alexa Built-in is standard in Platinum.
• Fuel efficiency: The test vehicle returned 28.9 mpg on the evaluation loop, and the EPA said it should have returned 31 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2023 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2023 Nissan Rogue is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SV, SL, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Rogue’s core safety and comfort story at the lowest price. It is the trim to consider if you mainly want the model’s standard equipment and don’t need the extra tech or luxury touches.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it opens the door to more desirable equipment and can be paired with the Midnight Edition package. If you want a balanced mix of features without stretching to the top end, this is the trim to focus on first.
• SL: Move here if you want a more upscale feel and access to additional premium options. It suits you if you care more about comfort and convenience than keeping the purchase as lean as possible.
• Platinum: This is the most upscale version, with the richest cabin presentation and standard Alexa Built-in. Choose it if you want the Rogue to feel as close to a near-luxury compact crossover as possible.

Higher trim levels can add ProPilot Assist with Navi-link, so safety and driver-assistance shoppers should compare trims closely.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Rogue?

The market looks selective rather than overheated, so you can shop with patience and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 9,771 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.21% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,433, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $21,670 sits slightly below last year's $23,106.

That decline suggests the Rogue has become more affordable for used buyers, which can help demand in the near term. For a future seller, though, it also means you should expect the market to remain price-sensitive. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pain later. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Nissan Rogue safe?

The 2023 Nissan Rogue earns a Top Safety Pick+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA. However, it gets four stars each for the driver and front passenger in a frontal-impact collision.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, rear automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and automatic high-beam headlights. Higher trims can add ProPilot Assist with Navi-link, which combines adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assistance, along with surround-view camera, active blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and a driver monitoring system. The main caveat is the IIHS update, where the Rogue falters with Marginal and Acceptable scores in updated small overlap frontal-impact and side-impact testing.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 adds trim-specific updates like Midnight Edition on SV and Alexa compatibility on Platinum.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $19,121, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $21,670 average.
• It brings a more modern mechanical setup and class-leading efficiency.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $20,750, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $21,670 average.
• It adds refreshed styling and Google built-in apps.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of current-year pricing, owner satisfaction, and broad inventory, the 2023 is the safer default. If your priority is spending less, the 2022 is the value play; if you want newer tech, the 2024 is worth a look.
