How much does the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander cost?

Is the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander a good car?

The 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander is a practical choice if you want a compact SUV with a seven-passenger layout, a more modern cabin, and a family-oriented setup. It also brings a larger infotainment touchscreen and an available digital instrument panel, which helps it feel more up to date than many rivals.

Its appeal is strongest if you value seating flexibility, everyday comfort, and a well-equipped base model over sporty performance. The user rating is 3.67/5, which fits a vehicle that offers useful strengths but also clear tradeoffs.

With 40.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander reliable?

The 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander emphasizes comfort, a quiet cabin for most driving, and a strong set of standard safety features. It also comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a CVT, with front-wheel drive standard and all-wheel drive available.

That combination points to a vehicle built more for steady daily use than for hard driving. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a model focused on comfort and value may still require careful attention to condition, especially if you plan to keep it for many years.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the drivetrain, brakes, tires, and suspension, since those areas matter most on a family SUV. Focus on cabin condition and electronics as well, especially the touchscreen, driver-assistance features, and any signs of heavy use in a three-row interior. A clean history report is important, but you still want to confirm that the vehicle has been maintained consistently and that all equipment works as expected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander?

This is a favorable market for buyers, with meaningful inventory and a decent share of listings priced competitively.

• Deal availability: 40.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,355 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.40% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,256, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander's resale value?

The current average of $22,256 sits slightly below last year's $24,298.

That price movement suggests the Outlander has become easier to buy than it was a year ago, but it also means future resale upside may be limited if depreciation continues at the same pace. If you plan to sell later, buying at the lower end of the range matters more because it gives you a better cushion against further value loss. For a used buyer, the current market is more attractive than it is protective.

Should I buy a 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 40.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.40% compared with last year.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $19,681, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $22,256 average.
• It offers a redesigned, more competitive feel with strong technology and a comfortable ride.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2023 if you want the newer model-year pricing context, broader market availability, and the same family-friendly strengths that define the Outlander. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2022 is the better value path, especially if you find one in strong condition with the features you want.
