Used 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS for Sale near North Carolina

How much does the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS cost?

Prices have softened 9.59% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,263 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS a good car?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS stands out as the roomiest vehicle in the Mercedes-Benz lineup, with three rows of seating for six or seven people and up to 94 cubic feet of cargo space. It is positioned as a midsize SUV that blends the comfort and space of the S-Class luxury sedan with some off-road capability, so you should expect a family-focused luxury hauler rather than a traditional large SUV.

It also brings a wide-screen, tech-forward cabin and a strong standard equipment list, including dual 12.3-inch displays with MBUX, navigation, a Burmester surround sound stereo, wireless charging, and three years of Mercedes Me Connect services. The broad mix of space, comfort, and utility is the main reason to consider it.

37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS reliable?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS is presented as a well-equipped luxury SUV with strong standard safety and convenience content, including blind spot assist, 360-degree cameras, adaptive headlamps, auto high beams, parking assist, power-folding third-row seats, and power-adjustable second-row seats. Its appeal is rooted in comfort, space, and utility rather than a stripped-down ownership experience.

The tradeoffs are worth keeping in mind: third-row access is a drawback, touch-sensing controls are another annoyance, and the generation also gave up some front headroom and cargo space versus the previous one. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is less about outright capability and more about living with packaging compromises and luxury-feature complexity.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report on any listing you are seriously considering, especially if the vehicle has had multiple owners or a gap in service records. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the electronics, seating mechanisms, and any signs of wear in the third row and cargo area. Focus on overall condition and how well the luxury features function, since that is where a used GLS can separate a strong example from a merely average one.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

• Inventory: There are 1,263 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.59% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $64,947, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS's resale value?

The current average of $64,947 sits slightly below last year's $71,839.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently today. If you plan to sell later, the current softness means your resale outcome will depend heavily on mileage, condition, and equipment. Well-kept examples with desirable features should hold up better than average ones, especially if you keep service records and avoid cosmetic wear.

Should I buy a 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.59% compared with last year.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $46,509, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $64,947 average.
• It emphasizes flagship size and luxury with a simpler lineup.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $71,817, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $64,947 average.
• It adds refreshed styling and updated tech.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around choice if you want the strongest balance of space, equipment, and market pricing. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value path; if you want newer updates and can stretch your budget, the 2024 is the upgrade path to compare.
