How much does the 2023 Mercedes-Benz G-Class cost?

Prices have softened 2.98% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 784 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare before you commit.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz G-Class a good car?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz G-Class stands out because it blends unmistakable military-grade styling with serious luxury and off-road ability. You get a modern cabin and technology suite, including MBUX with dual 12.3-inch displays, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a lighter structure and driver-assist and safety features developed for other Mercedes models. It is best suited to you if you want a distinctive SUV with genuine off-road credentials and a lavish cabin rather than a value-focused or efficiency-focused choice.

With 32.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz G-Class reliable?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz G-Class stands out because it blends unmistakable military-grade styling with serious luxury and off-road ability. It uses a thoroughly modern cabin and technology suite, and the model benefits from a lighter structure and electric power steering.

For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk is mainly tied to high upkeep costs, so condition and maintenance history matter more than chasing the lowest sticker price.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz G-Class?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially because this SUV is expensive to buy and expensive to keep. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of hard use so you can separate a well-kept example from one that may become costly later.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz G-Class?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings if you stay selective.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 784 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.98% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $167,194, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz G-Class's resale value?

The current average of $167,498 sits slightly below last year's $172,649.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy with less pressure today. For a future seller, it also means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. If you keep the SUV clean and documented, you should be in a better position to protect value when it is time to sell.

Should I buy a 2023 Mercedes-Benz G-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.98% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the right path if you want the G-Class formula with a softer market and a solid pool of clean listings. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth considering, but the 2023 gives you a strong balance of availability and recent price relief.
