Is the 2023 Lexus LX a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Lexus LX earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

It stands out as a full-size body-on-frame SUV that blends serious off-road hardware with the kind of luxury you expect from Lexus. The overview also highlights a smooth, quiet ride, so you get capability without giving up everyday comfort. That makes it a strong fit if you want one SUV that can handle rough terrain and still feel refined on the road.

31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Lexus LX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview emphasizes a strong reputation for real off-road capability and reliability, which is a meaningful combination for a used luxury SUV. It also points to standard four-wheel drive, a locking center differential, Crawl Control, and Multi-Terrain Select, all of which reinforce its rugged character. For used buyers, that usually means you should still pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition, since long-term ownership risk is tied to how well the vehicle was cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Lexus LX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and confirm the truck has a clean maintenance record. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the suspension, drivetrain, and interior condition, since this model’s appeal depends on both capability and luxury presentation. It is also worth checking that the technology and comfort features work as expected, because the LX’s value is tied to its full feature set.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Lexus LX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 189 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.13% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $84,345, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Lexus LX's resale value?

The current average of $84,345 sits slightly below last year's $91,805.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled enough to give you a better entry point than a year ago. For a future seller, that can mean less immediate upside if you buy at the top of the range, but it also shows the model still holds meaningful value relative to its prior pricing. Because the LX combines luxury appeal with strong capability, demand should remain steadier than for many large SUVs.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Lexus LX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• It introduced the redesigned LX with a new platform and updated technology.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value, satisfaction, and current inventory, the 2023 is the better primary target. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2022 can make sense as a lower-cost way to get the redesigned LX experience, provided the specific listing checks out well.
