Used 2023 Kia Seltos for Sale nearNewark, NJ

How much does the 2023 Kia Seltos cost?

Prices have softened 6.62% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,459 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Kia Seltos a good car?

Yes — the 4.67/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the 2023 Seltos backs that up with a roomy cabin, generous passenger and cargo space for the class, and a refined driving character. It also brings a premium-leaning interior and practical packaging, which makes it appealing if you want a subcompact crossover that feels more substantial than its footprint suggests. The tradeoffs are a noisy cabin, a clunky dual-clutch transmission, and a base engine that can feel underpowered, so it fits you best if space and everyday usability matter more than outright performance. 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Kia Seltos reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Seltos emphasizes practical packaging, intuitive controls, and a refined chassis, all of which support an easy ownership experience. Its cabin space and overall polish make it a sensible choice for daily use, especially if you value comfort and usability over flash. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is ending up with a poorly maintained example that amplifies the model’s known noise and transmission complaints.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Kia Seltos?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus your inspection on signs of prior damage, uneven wear, and any evidence that the transmission or cabin noise issues have been addressed. Pay close attention to overall condition, because a clean-looking listing can still hide maintenance gaps or repair history that affect long-term ownership.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Kia Seltos?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,459 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.62% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,703, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Kia Seltos's resale value?

The current average of $19,703 sits slightly below last year's $21,100.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the key question is whether the vehicle stays desirable enough to hold demand once you decide to move on. A well-kept example with strong condition and clean history should be easier to resell than one with visible wear or unresolved issues.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Kia Seltos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $17,655, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $19,703 average.
• It adds more available driver-assist tech and a Nightfall Edition.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $22,906, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $19,703 average.
• It gets refreshed styling and updated technology.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around choice if you want a balanced mix of value, space, and market availability. If your priority is spending less, the 2022 is the smarter path; if you want newer tech and are willing to pay more, the 2024 is the better upgrade.
