How much does the 2023 Hyundai Sonata cost?

There are 2,377 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2023 Hyundai Sonata a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Hyundai Sonata earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

The Sonata stands out as a midsize sedan with sleek styling, strong feature content, and a wide range of powertrain choices. It offers gas and hybrid versions, ample room in the back and trunk, and a long list of standard safety and tech features. Standard equipment includes an eight-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, USB ports, SiriusXM satellite radio, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, rear seat reminders, driver-attention warnings, and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection.

For you, that means the Sonata makes sense if you want a well-equipped, relaxing daily driver with broad appeal and modern features. 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Hyundai Sonata reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Sonata is described as having good reliability and safety rankings, along with more standard equipment than any previous models. It also leans into everyday usability with a roomy cabin, broad powertrain choices, and a long list of driver-assistance features.

For used buyers, that combination suggests lower long-term ownership risk than you might expect from a feature-rich midsize sedan, especially if you prioritize maintenance history and overall condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Hyundai Sonata?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free status is only one part of the picture. Put inspection priority on the condition of the interior, electronics, tires, brakes, and any signs of uneven wear or prior repairs.

Because the Sonata is offered in multiple versions, focus on whether the specific car matches your needs for comfort, efficiency, or performance. A thorough test drive and pre-purchase inspection can help you separate a clean, well-kept example from one that has been used hard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Hyundai Sonata?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,377 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.26% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,726, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Hyundai Sonata's resale value?

The current average of $21,192 sits slightly below last year's $21,461.

That modest decline suggests the Sonata is holding value reasonably well, but not aggressively appreciating. For a future seller, that means your return will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained.

Because the market is still showing steady demand and a broad spread of listings, a clean example with strong equipment and a good service record should remain easier to move than a neglected one. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Hyundai Sonata or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.26% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $19,736, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $21,192 average.
• It emphasizes strong value, quality, and a distinctive personality.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2023 if you want the stronger current-market mix of features, inventory, and buyer confidence. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2022 is the better value play, especially if you find one in excellent condition with the equipment you want.
