The 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) has all the refinement and functionality of the popular Santa Fe, with the added efficiency of a hybrid powertrain with some electric range. ## What’s New for the 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid Plug-In The Santa Fe PHEV was introduced for the 2021 model year. Both come with 19-inch alloy wheels. ## Powertrain The Santa Fe PHEV uses a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, working with an electric motor to put out a combined 261 horsepower and 224 pound-feet of torque. Power is routed through a six-speed automatic transmission to standard all-wheel drive (AWD). This setup has an electric range of 31 miles, and it can be recharged in about 3.5 hours using a Level 2 charger or 6.5 hours using a traditional wall outlet.
