Used 2023 Honda Ridgeline for Sale nearSan Bernardino, CA

How much does the 2023 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 4.72% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,396 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Generally — you’re looking at a 4.38/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating, which points to broad owner satisfaction and strong overall appeal. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners repeatedly praise its comfort, smooth ride, versatility, and useful storage space, and they also call out its modern safety features. On the other hand, the expert review flags outdated technology and an infotainment system that feels behind the times, along with towing and off-road limitations.

If you want a midsize truck that works well as a daily driver and prioritizes practicality over traditional pickup toughness, this year’s Ridgeline fits that use case well. The market also shows 36.3% good or great deals, so there are still worthwhile listings to consider.

Is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.38/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a truck that feels comfortable, versatile, and dependable enough to earn repeat praise for everyday use. The expert review also emphasizes that it is a refined, easygoing truck for the road, with driving manners that feel composed and confidence-inspiring in normal use.

Honda’s complimentary scheduled maintenance for the first 2 years or 24,000 miles adds a helpful ownership perk. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic durability and more about living with aging technology and the possibility that prior use may have accelerated wear on a truck that was already asked to do a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Honda Ridgeline?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate, because accident-free listings are common but not guaranteed. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the truck’s condition closely, especially if you plan to use it for hauling, commuting, or light-duty family duty. Focus on how well the cabin, electronics, and safety systems work, since those are the areas most likely to shape your day-to-day satisfaction.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Sport is the base model, and the higher trims add more comfort and convenience. The base version misses some of the extra driver-assistance equipment that appears higher up the lineup, so you should compare feature content carefully if you want the best value.
• Powertrain: Every version uses a 3.5-liter V6, a nine-speed automatic transmission, and torque-vectoring all-wheel drive. The setup is tuned for refined on-road driving, and the truck’s fuel economy is competitive for a gas V6 midsize pickup.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on Sport and move up with RTL trim.
• Infotainment: The truck uses an 8-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus basic HondaLink services. Wireless smartphone charging, navigation, premium audio, and cargo bed speakers are reserved for higher trims.
• Fuel efficiency: The truck averaged 22.6 mpg on a road trip, and the official EPA figures are 21 mpg combined and 24 mpg highway.

Which 2023 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2023 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, RTL, RTL-E, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Ridgeline’s core strengths: the V6, all-wheel drive, comfortable ride, and practical everyday usability. It makes sense if you want the truck’s basic formula at the lowest price, but you should be aware that some convenience and safety upgrades are reserved for higher trims.
• RTL: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds the extra driver-assistance features that the base trim lacks, including blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. If you want a more complete safety and convenience package without jumping too far up the price ladder, this is the trim to target.
• RTL-E: This trim adds more of the upscale equipment that helps the Ridgeline feel better equipped for daily use. It is the right pick if you want a more premium experience and are willing to pay for added convenience and tech.
• Black Edition: This is the most upscale version, with the richest feature set and the most premium presentation. It suits you best if you want the most fully equipped Ridgeline and are willing to pay for it.

The safety-package upgrade from Sport to RTL is the key trim-level note to keep in mind if driver-assistance coverage matters to you.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Ridgeline?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,396 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.72% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,569, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $31,569 sits slightly below last year's $33,132.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favorable for buyers, which can put some pressure on future resale values if you plan to sell later. Still, the current price level also means you may be buying after some of the initial depreciation has already happened.

For a future seller, the key question is whether the truck’s strong reputation for comfort and practicality continues to support demand. Well-kept examples with clean history and desirable equipment should hold up better than neglected ones.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.38/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2023 Ridgeline earns mostly favorable crash-test and safety ratings from IIHS, and it gets top marks in all NHTSA crash tests plus a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. The main safety gap is that blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on Sport and require moving up to RTL trim.

The expert review also notes that the driver-assistance systems can feel a bit dated and less refined than newer Honda setups. The lane-departure warning can be intrusive, and the adaptive cruise control can struggle to hold a perfectly smooth following distance.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.38/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It delivers a practical, comfort-first truck experience with strong daily-driver appeal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $29,444, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $31,569 average.
• It offers the same comfort-focused, unibody pickup formula with a carryover setup.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $34,635, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $31,569 average.
• It adds a TrailSport trim and other updates that make the truck feel more modern.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and everyday usefulness, the 2023 is the smart default. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2022 is worth a look; if you want newer features and can spend more, the 2024 is the upgrade path.
