Used 2023 Honda Ridgeline for Sale nearSan Antonio, TX

How much does the 2023 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 4.95% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,320 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Generally — the 2023 Honda Ridgeline earns 4.4/5 from owners and a 7.5/10 expert rating, which points to strong overall appeal. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners repeatedly praise its comfort, smooth ride, versatility, and useful storage space. The Ridgeline is also framed as a truck for buyers who want modest-task utility without the usual pickup compromises, and that use case lines up with its daily-driver character.

The trade-offs are clear: its technology feels outdated, and it gives up towing and off-road capability compared with more traditional rivals. Even so, the combination of practicality and refinement makes it a strong fit if you value easy everyday use over maximum truck toughness.

Only 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is selective rather than flooded with bargains.

Is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as comfortable, versatile, and dependable for everyday use, with useful storage and modern safety features adding to the sense that it is built to be lived with. The truck’s refined road manners and strong all-around usability also support the impression that it can be counted on for regular driving.

Honda’s powertrain and chassis setup are presented as sophisticated and durable-feeling, with the truck delivering confident pavement behavior and a well-sorted ride. Honda also includes two years or 24,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance, which is a helpful ownership perk.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that aging technology and truck capability limits may matter more as mileage and ownership demands rise.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Honda Ridgeline?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re shopping outside the cleanest listings. Focus on overall condition, signs of hard use, and whether the truck’s equipment matches the trim you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Sport is the base model, while RTL, RTL-E, and Black Edition add more equipment and refinement. The base trim misses blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, so higher trims are worth a close look if you want those features.
• Powertrain: Every version uses a 3.5-liter V6, a nine-speed automatic transmission, and torque-vectoring all-wheel drive. The setup is tuned for smooth, confident on-road driving and returns competitive fuel economy for a gas V6 midsize pickup.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on the base trim.
• Infotainment: The truck uses an 8-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus basic HondaLink services. RTL-E and Black Edition add navigation, a premium sound system, cargo bed speakers, and wireless smartphone charging.
• Fuel efficiency: The Ridgeline is rated at 21 mpg combined and 24 mpg on the highway.

Which 2023 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2023 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, RTL, RTL-E, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Ridgeline formula: V6 power, all-wheel drive, and the truck’s practical everyday character. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model, but you should be aware that blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not included here.
• RTL: This is the trim to focus on if you want the best balance of value and equipment. It adds the safety features missing from Sport, making it the smartest buy for most shoppers who want a more complete truck without stretching to the top trims.
• RTL-E: This trim adds navigation, a premium sound system, cargo bed speakers, and wireless smartphone charging. It suits you if you want more convenience and tech, but it is less compelling if you mainly care about value.
• Black Edition: This is the most upscale version, with the same added tech as RTL-E plus a more distinctive appearance. It makes sense if you want the most premium Ridgeline experience and are willing to pay for it.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, but blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert require moving up from Sport to RTL.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Ridgeline?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you should shop carefully and compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,320 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.95% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,249, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $31,249 sits slightly below last year's $32,876.

That softer pricing suggests the Ridgeline has become a bit easier to buy, which can help future resale by keeping it accessible to a wider pool of shoppers. If you own one, the current market indicates steady demand rather than a sharp drop in interest.

Its practical reputation and strong owner satisfaction should help support value over time, especially for well-kept examples with clean history and desirable equipment. Trucks that deliver comfort and versatility tend to stay relevant with used buyers.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2023 Ridgeline earns mostly favorable crash-test and safety ratings from the IIHS, and it gets top marks in all NHTSA crash tests plus a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on Sport and require stepping up to RTL.

One caveat is that the driver-assistance tech is described as aging and not as smooth or refined as newer Honda systems, and the adaptive cruise control can struggle to hold a consistent following distance.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It stands out as a practical daily-driver truck with strong safety ratings and a refined on-road feel.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $29,221, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $31,249 average.
• It offers the same sensible, comfort-first Ridgeline formula with a carryover lineup.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $34,361, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $31,249 average.
• It adds a TrailSport trim and tech updates for buyers who want more modern features.

The bottom line: Buy the 2023 if you want the current-year balance of price, practicality, and strong owner satisfaction. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2022 is the better value play; if you want newer features and a more updated feel, the 2024 is the upgrade path.
