How much does the 2024 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 4.21% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,620 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Honda Ridgeline earns 5/5 from owners and 7.3/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spaciousness, and user-friendly features, and they also like its attractive pricing compared with other trucks. The Ridgeline’s easygoing character and practical layout make it a strong fit if you want truck utility without giving up daily-driver comfort. On the downside, our experts point to an irritating transmission and unimpressive towing capacity, and the truck’s limited off-roading capability keeps it from being a true rugged-trail choice. That makes it best for you if you value versatility, comfort, and everyday livability more than maximum capability.

Deal availability is decent, with 33.4% of listings priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as comfortable and user-friendly, and the review summary also points to a truck that feels attractive and easy to live with over time. The powertrain is described as tried-and-true, and the truck’s road manners and everyday usability support a dependable ownership experience. Honda also includes complimentary scheduled maintenance for two years or 24,000 miles, which helps reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that newer rivals may feel more modern in technology and capability.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Ridgeline?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully, even when the market looks clean. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the transmission behavior, cabin electronics, and any signs of hard use, especially if the truck was driven like a work vehicle. Focus on overall condition, because the Ridgeline’s appeal depends heavily on how well it has been maintained and how smoothly its comfort and tech features still operate.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Four versions are available: Sport, RTL, TrailSport, and Black Edition. The Sport is the most affordable and still gets the updated infotainment and safety equipment, while the TrailSport adds a more rugged look and off-road-oriented hardware. The Black Edition brings the most upscale equipment, including extra USB ports and an eight-speaker premium sound system.
• Powertrain: Every version uses a 3.5-liter V6 with 280 horsepower and a nine-speed automatic transmission. It delivers smooth everyday performance, but towing capacity is limited to 5,000 pounds and off-road geometry remains modest.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist with road departure mitigation, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard starting with the Sport.
• Infotainment: Every Ridgeline gets a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, HondaLink connected services, and a seven-speaker stereo. The Black Edition adds HD Radio, extra USB ports, and an eight-speaker premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: In testing, the Ridgeline returned 19.4 mpg, just shy of its official 20 mpg combined rating.

Which 2024 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2024 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, RTL, TrailSport, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• RTL: This trim makes sense if you want a more upscale feel, including the available brown leather color and a step up in comfort-focused presentation.
• TrailSport: Choose this if you want the most rugged-looking Ridgeline, with an off-road suspension, all-terrain tires, and underbody protection.
• Black Edition: This is the most premium version, adding HD Radio, extra USB ports, and an eight-speaker premium sound system for buyers who want the most equipment.

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard starting with the Sport.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Ridgeline?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,620 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.21% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $34,260, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $34,361 sits slightly below last year's $35,871.

That softer pricing suggests the Ridgeline has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. If you purchase near the lower end of the current range, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss when it’s time to sell. Strong owner satisfaction also helps support demand in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2024 Honda Ridgeline earns an Acceptable instead of Good score in the small overlap frontal-impact test, and the IIHS rates its headlights as Marginal.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist with road departure mitigation, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard starting with the Sport. The main caveat is that the IIHS results show the Ridgeline’s age, especially in the small overlap frontal test and headlight rating, even though NHTSA gives it strong overall crash performance.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Honda adds a new TrailSport trim, updated tech, and a more truck-like interior.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $31,249, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $34,361 average.
• It emphasizes practicality and daily-driver comfort.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $36,011, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $34,361 average.
• It keeps the Ridgeline’s easy-to-live-with crossover-like setup.

The bottom line: If you want the most updated version of this truck, the 2024 is the better pick. If price matters most, the 2023 is the smarter value play.
