Used 2022 Honda Ridgeline for Sale nearSan Antonio, TX

How much does the 2022 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 7.77% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,970 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Honda Ridgeline earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spacious interior, smooth ride, and useful features like the in-bed trunk and dual-function tailgate. The review summary also points to solid value, which fits a truck that aims to deliver everyday usability without feeling harsh or overly truck-like.

The trade-offs are clear: the transmission can feel irritating, and the technology is dated. That lines up with the overview, which frames this Ridgeline as a midsize pickup for you if you want truck utility with crossover-like refinement rather than maximum ruggedness or the latest tech.

With 33.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback emphasizes dependable everyday use, comfort over the long haul, and a truck that many drivers feel good about living with day to day. The expert evaluation also reinforces that sense of durability by describing the Ridgeline as a practical, easygoing truck with a refined driving character and familiar Honda crossover-like usability.

Honda’s standard warranty coverage is conventional for the segment, so your long-term ownership risk is less about unusual complexity and more about finding one that has been maintained well and hasn’t been neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda Ridgeline?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free listings are common but not guaranteed. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the transmission behavior, infotainment responsiveness, and overall cabin condition, since those are the areas most likely to affect your day-to-day satisfaction. It also makes sense to focus on how the truck was used, especially if you want one that still feels tight and well cared for.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Sport trim leaves out blind spot monitoring and SiriusXM, while the RTL-E and Black Edition add automatic high beams and more equipment. The higher trims are better suited if you want a more complete feature set from the start.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-liter V6 with 280 horsepower, a nine-speed automatic transmission, and standard all-wheel drive. The setup is smooth and capable for everyday use, but it is not built for class-leading towing or serious off-road work.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, Road Departure Mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. Blind spot monitoring is standard on all but the base Sport trim, and automatic high beams are standard on the RTL-E and Black Edition.
• Infotainment: The Ridgeline uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth. SiriusXM is available on all but the base Sport trim, and navigation is reserved for the RTL-E and Black Edition.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA-rated fuel economy is 18 mpg city and 24 mpg highway, with 21 mpg combined.

Which 2022 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2022 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, RTL, RTL-E, Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it is the most stripped-down version of the lineup. It gives you the core Ridgeline formula, yet you give up blind spot monitoring and SiriusXM, so it makes the most sense only if you want the lowest starting point and are comfortable with fewer convenience features.
• RTL: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more comfort and convenience without jumping all the way to the top of the range. If you want a more complete daily driver and do not need the extra tech of the upper trims, this is the one to focus on first.
• RTL-E: This trim is the better choice if you want more technology and a richer feature set, including navigation and automatic high beams. It suits you if you plan to keep the truck longer and want a more premium feel.
• Black Edition: This is the most upscale version, with the most distinctive appearance and the fullest equipment list. It makes sense if you want the most polished Ridgeline experience and are willing to pay for it.

Blind spot monitoring is standard on all but the base Sport trim, and automatic high beams are standard on the RTL-E and Black Edition.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Ridgeline?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,970 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.77% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,221, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $29,221 sits slightly below last year's $31,682.

That softer pricing suggests the Ridgeline has already moved through a meaningful portion of its depreciation curve, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that a well-kept example should remain appealing to shoppers who value comfort, practicality, and a more refined driving experience than a traditional pickup.

Because the market still shows steady demand and a healthy share of accident-free listings, a clean, well-maintained truck should be easier to move than one with questionable history or visible wear.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The Ridgeline received top “Good” scores in most Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) crash tests, but received a lower “Average” score in the passenger-side small overlap frontal test. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave Honda’s truck a five-star overall safety rating, with five stars in frontal and side crash tests, and four stars in rollover crash testing.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, Road Departure Mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. Blind spot monitoring is standard on all but the base Sport trim, and automatic high beams are standard on the RTL-E and Black Edition.

The main caveat is the lower IIHS result in the passenger-side small overlap frontal test, along with the lack of a 360-degree camera system.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the refined, crossover-like truck formula with strong comfort and everyday usability.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,161, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $29,221 average.
• It brings a fresher truck-like look and strong everyday usability.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $31,249, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $29,221 average.
• It emphasizes practicality and safety while keeping the same unconventional Ridgeline formula.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, inventory, and proven owner satisfaction, the 2022 is the smart default. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2021 is worth a look because it can save you money while staying close in character.
