Used 2020 Honda Ridgeline for Sale nearSan Antonio, TX

How much does the 2020 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 5.40% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 971 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Honda Ridgeline earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, smooth ride, quiet cabin, and practical cargo space. The review summary also points to safety technologies and versatile features as recurring positives, which fits a truck aimed at everyday usability.

The trade-offs are the software limitations that restrict certain features and the touchscreen functionality, along with pricing that some shoppers may find high for the market. In the context of the Ridgeline’s comfort-first, everyday-use mission, that means you should expect a truck that feels polished and practical rather than rugged or especially simple to operate.

Good and great deals account for 32.3% of listings, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience through its comfort, smooth ride, and practical versatility, and it also highlights the truck’s quiet cabin and useful features. The expert evaluation reinforces that sense of dependability by describing the Ridgeline as a vehicle that makes daily driving easier and more pleasing.

Honda also includes thoughtful equipment that supports ownership convenience, including standard driver-assistance tech and a well-integrated infotainment setup. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the truck’s technology and feature set still suit your expectations.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Honda Ridgeline?

At 70.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a close inspection of body panels, paint consistency, and signs of prior repair. Because this truck is often chosen for comfort and everyday use, condition matters as much as mileage, especially if you want the cabin and technology to feel current.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Sport and RTL trims are front-wheel drive, while RTL-E and Black Edition add standard all-wheel drive, and the higher trims also bring more premium equipment. The base setup is well equipped for 2020, but the feature gap is most noticeable if you want the added convenience and traction hardware.
• Powertrain: The Ridgeline uses a 3.5-liter V6 with 280 horsepower and a nine-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive improves towing and payload capability, and the truck’s driving character is tuned more for smoothness and everyday comfort than maximum capability.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist. RTL-E and Black Edition trims add automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic warning.
• Infotainment: The standard system uses an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. RTL-E and Black Edition trims add SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio, navigation, and an eight-speaker premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: The all-wheel-drive model is rated at 21 mpg combined, and the testing loop returned 20.9 mpg.

Which 2020 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2020 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, RTL, RTL-E, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Ridgeline’s core strengths without moving far up the price ladder. It suits you if you want the comfort, cargo space, and V6 power in the most straightforward package.
• RTL: This is the best-value trim if you want a more upscale feel without jumping to the pricier versions. It keeps the Ridgeline’s everyday usability while adding a more premium presentation.
• RTL-E: This is the trim to choose if you want the strongest mix of equipment and capability. It adds standard all-wheel drive, more advanced convenience features, and the upgraded infotainment and audio setup.
• Black Edition: This is the most distinctive and fully equipped version, with the same added hardware as RTL-E plus a more upscale appearance. It makes sense if you want the most premium-feeling Ridgeline.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, while RTL-E and Black Edition add blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, and automatic high-beam headlights.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Honda Ridgeline?

The market looks selective rather than overheated, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 971 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.40% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 70.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,287, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $25,538 sits slightly below last year's $26,997.

That decline suggests the Ridgeline has become a bit more buyer-friendly in the used market, which can help you if you are shopping now. For a future seller, it means pricing discipline matters, because the market has already moved down from where it was a year ago.

Even so, the Ridgeline’s practical appeal and strong owner satisfaction can help support demand over time. Trucks that combine comfort, versatility, and a good reputation tend to hold attention better than more polarizing alternatives.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2020 Honda Ridgeline earns top marks in all but the small overlap frontal impact test for the front passenger, which results in an "acceptable" score. It earns five-star ratings across the board except for a four-star rollover resistance rating from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist. RTL-E and Black Edition trims add automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic warning.

The main caveat is that the lane-departure warning can feel intrusive, the forward-collision warning can be overeager, and the adaptive cruise control could be smoother. That means the safety hardware is strong, but the tuning is not perfect.

Should I buy a 2020 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.40% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Honda Sensing is standard, and the 2020 model adds an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,161, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $25,538 average.
• It looks more like a truck and feels more traditional in its styling.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2020 is the smarter buy because it combines a lower average price with strong owner satisfaction and standard safety tech. If you are willing to pay more for a fresher-looking truck, the 2021 is the better alternative.
