How much does the 2023 Honda Civic cost?

Prices have softened 1.85% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,022 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2023 Honda Civic a good car?

Yes — 4.9/5 is a strong user rating, and it lines up with the Civic’s appeal as a refined compact car. Owners repeatedly praise its comfort, fuel efficiency, roomy interior, and strong performance, which makes it easy to see why it resonates with everyday shoppers. If you want a compact car that feels modern without giving up practicality, the Civic fits that use case well. With 37.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent amount of market opportunity to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Honda Civic reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car many people find dependable, trouble-free, and easy to live with over time. Comfort and fuel efficiency come up often, which usually matters in long-term ownership because those are the traits you notice every day. For used buyers, the main risk is less about broad owner dissatisfaction and more about making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained well and checked carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Honda Civic?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can catch wear, repairs, or condition issues that photos won’t show. Focus especially on overall maintenance history, signs of prior damage, and whether the car’s condition matches the asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Civic?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,022 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.85% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,176, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Civic's resale value?

The current average of $23,658 sits slightly below last year's $24,104.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also suggests future resale values may stay sensitive to market conditions. If you plan to sell later, a well-kept Civic should still benefit from steady shopper interest, especially because it has a strong reputation with owners. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Civic or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.85% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $21,836, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $23,658 average.
• It delivers a thoroughly improved redesign with strong fundamentals.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $24,689, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $23,658 average.
• It shifts toward a more performance-focused, enthusiast-friendly setup.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2023 if you want the best balance of price, owner satisfaction, and available inventory. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value play, while the 2024 makes more sense if you want a more performance-oriented Civic and are willing to pay more.
