How much does the 2023 Genesis G70 cost?

Is the 2023 Genesis G70 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Genesis G70 earns a 4.6/5 user rating and an 8.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its beautiful design, strong performance, and value compared with other luxury brands, along with a luxurious interior and powerful handling. In use, it fits shoppers who want a compact luxury sedan that feels engaging without being difficult to live with. The main trade-offs are poor fuel economy in the V6 and limited cargo space. With 33.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s still room to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2023 Genesis G70 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable, with praise centered on its value, performance, and upscale feel over time. The expert review also notes generous ownership coverage, including a 10-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty, a five-year, 60,000-mile basic warranty, and three years or 36,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is depreciation rather than obvious durability concerns.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Genesis G70?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a documented accident check. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on wear items, electronics, and signs of hard use. Pay close attention to condition, since this model’s appeal depends heavily on how well it has been maintained and equipped.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Standard four-cylinder models start with leatherette seating, heated front seats, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror, while higher trims add leather, Nappa leather, ventilated front seats, and a power sunroof. The base setup leaves some desirable luxury touches on the options list.
• Powertrain: You can choose a 252-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder or a 365-horsepower twin-turbo V6, and both use an eight-speed automatic. The V6 is quicker, but it also carries the fuel-economy penalty.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, a driver-attention monitor, automatic high beams, rear-seat reminder, safe-exit assist, and Highway Driving Assist. Some extras, like front and rear park distance control and a blind-spot view camera system, are optional.
• Infotainment: The standard system uses a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM. Wireless smartphone mirroring is not included, and the car does not get a fully digital instrument cluster.
• Fuel efficiency: The four-cylinder with rear-wheel drive is rated at 25 mpg combined, 21 mpg city, and 31 mpg highway. The V6 with rear-wheel drive is rated at 21 mpg combined, 18 mpg city, and 27 mpg highway.

Which 2023 Genesis G70 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Genesis G70 is offered in 3 trim levels: Standard, Sport Prestige, Sport Advanced.

Here's the short version:

• Standard: This is the best-value starting point if you want the G70’s core strengths without stretching the budget. You still get the 10.25-inch touchscreen, standard safety tech, heated front seats, and the car’s polished design and easy-to-use interface.
• Sport Prestige: This is the trim to target if you want the most complete version of the four-cylinder model. It adds upscale touches like Nappa leather, ventilated front seats, and a surround-view camera system, making it the best-value upgrade for many shoppers.
• Sport Advanced: This trim sits between the other V6 versions and is the gateway to the 3.3T powertrain. Choose it if you want the stronger engine and a more performance-focused feel, but be ready for the V6’s fuel-economy trade-off.

Genesis makes driver-assistance tech standard across the lineup, including Highway Driving Assist.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Genesis G70?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 822 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,913, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Genesis G70's resale value?

The current average of $30,696 sits slightly below last year's $30,810.

That small decline suggests the market has been stable rather than volatile, which is helpful if you plan to sell later. A steady price pattern can make it easier to estimate your car’s value over time, especially if you keep mileage and condition in check. Strong owner satisfaction also helps support demand when it’s time to trade in or sell privately.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Genesis G70 safe?

The 2023 Genesis G70 earns the IIHS’s highest Top Safety Pick+ award based on the identical 2022 model.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Genesis equips the G70 with a broad standard safety suite that includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, a driver-attention monitor, automatic high beams, rear-seat reminder, safe-exit assist, and Highway Driving Assist. That system combines adaptive cruise control with automated lane centering, though it is intended for highway use and requires you to keep your hands on the wheel. The review also notes that the lane centering can feel less smooth than BMW’s and may bring the car uncomfortably close to other vehicles at times.

Should I buy a 2023 Genesis G70 or consider a different year?

• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• It brings the refreshed styling and improved infotainment.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $32,121, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $30,696 average.
• It adds a new engine option and stronger overall appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the most balanced mix of price, style, and features, the 2023 is the sweet spot. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value play; if you want the newest powertrain choices, look to the 2024.
