Is the 2023 GMC Yukon a good car?

The 2023 GMC Yukon is a mixed but appealing choice if you want a full-size SUV with a premium feel and strong everyday usability. It earns a 3.4/5 user rating, and owners repeatedly point to its quality finishes, spacious interior, smooth ride, and helpful digital dashboard.

If you want something upscale without being flashy, the Yukon’s restrained luxury look and roomy cabin fit that use case well. The broad powertrain lineup also helps you match the SUV to your priorities, whether that’s V8 power, diesel efficiency, or added capability. Deal availability is decent too, with 36.5% of listings priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2023 GMC Yukon reliable?

The 2023 GMC Yukon stands out as a full-size SUV that blends a commanding presence with a more restrained luxury look than many rivals. Owners praise the quality finishes, spacious interior, smooth ride, and helpful digital dashboard, but they also mention transmission issues and engine recalls.

That mix suggests you should shop carefully and prioritize a clean service history. For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is worth weighing closely because repair exposure can matter more than the Yukon’s comfort and space advantages.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 GMC Yukon?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with the history report, then confirm whether the vehicle has had any collision damage, recall work, or repeated repair visits. Put inspection priority on the transmission, drivetrain, and overall condition, especially if the SUV has higher mileage or a spotty maintenance record. Focus on how the cabin, electronics, and suspension have held up, since those areas matter most in a large family SUV like this.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 GMC Yukon?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting deep discounts on every listing.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,581 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.22% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $55,626, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 GMC Yukon's resale value?

The current average of $55,626 sits slightly below last year's $61,274.

That price movement suggests the Yukon has already absorbed some near-term depreciation, which can help if you buy now and plan to keep it for a while. For a future seller, the current market is a reminder that condition, mileage, and history will matter a lot when it’s time to resell. A clean, well-maintained example should hold up better than one with accident history or unresolved mechanical concerns.

Should I buy a 2023 GMC Yukon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.22% compared with last year.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $46,885, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $55,626 average.
• It offers a redesigned cabin with added connectivity and a standard 12-inch driver information center.

The bottom line: Buy the 2023 if you want the stronger current-market mix of inventory, pricing, and condition transparency. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2022 is the better secondary path, especially if you can find one with the features and condition you want.
