Design
There are three wheelbase lengths and three roof heights for the 2023 Transit Cargo. The standard wheelbase is offered in low and medium roof heights. The long wheelbase is offered with a low, medium, or high roof. The extended wheelbase model is exclusively offered in the high-roof design. There are also a number of exterior upgrade options, including multiple types of extended trailering mirrors.

Fleet buyers can select a 3.73 or 4.10 rear axle ratio. When properly equipped (with a short wheelbase, a low-roof, and the EcoBoost engine), the Transit Cargo can tow up to 6,900 pounds.
Interior
Maximum cargo capacity tops out at 358.7 cubic feet. There are a number of upfit packages by which Ford (or a local vendor) installs equipment optimized for trades such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and more.
