Power is routed through a 10-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheels or to available all-wheel drive (AWD). Fleet buyers can select a 3.73 or 4.10 rear axle ratio. When properly equipped (with a short wheelbase, a low-roof, and the EcoBoost engine), the Transit Cargo can tow up to 6,900 pounds. ## Interior Maximum cargo capacity tops out at 358.7 cubic feet. There are a number of upfit packages by which Ford (or a local vendor) installs equipment optimized for trades such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and more. The Transit Cargo comes standard with two manually adjustable front seats, coated in vinyl upholstery. It’s available with cloth or even leather upholstery, as well as power-adjustable front seats. It is available with multiple configurations of cargo shelving, added compartments, and more. ## Technology The standard radio in the 2023 Transit Cargo Van comes with dual USB ports and a 4-inch digital display. It’s available with a 12-inch touchscreen that runs the SYNC 4 infotainment system, and navigation, voice recognition, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto can also be added. Other options include remote start, additional power outlets, push-button start, auxiliary heaters, cruise control, accessory prep panels, and more. ## Safety The Transit Cargo comes with modern safety tech such as forward collision warning, rain-sensing windshield wipers, lane-departure warning, a tire-pressure monitoring system, and the new rear-camera mirror. It is available with parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, active park assist, and a multi-view 360-degree parking camera system. ## Pricing At the time of this writing, the 2023 Ford Transit Cargo Van has a base MSRP of $44,455. The long-wheelbase model starts at $45,730 and the extended-wheelbase, high-roof model starts at $50,375. The Ford Transit Cargo Van is backed by a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty.
