Used 2023 Dodge Charger for Sale nearScottsdale, AZ

How much does the 2023 Dodge Charger cost?

Prices are up 14.79% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 3,419 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Dodge Charger a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Dodge Charger earns a 4.5/5 from owners and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, comfortable seating, and spacious interior. The Charger also gets credit for its stylish design and the kind of personality that makes it feel special rather than generic.

The trade-offs are clear: outdated technology and poor fuel economy are recurring drawbacks, and the base engine is described as underwhelming. That makes it a better fit if you want a full-size sedan with attitude and strong straight-line appeal than if you want the newest tech or the most efficient daily driver.

With 30.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you can still find some market value if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Dodge Charger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car people feel good about living with over time, especially because of its powerful performance, comfortable seating, and spacious interior. That combination suggests the Charger delivers the kind of everyday experience that keeps owners attached to it.

The expert impression also supports the idea that it is built around durable, proven hardware rather than cutting-edge complexity. The transmission is described as exceptionally smooth and quick-shifting, which is the kind of trait that usually helps long-term ownership feel less troublesome.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that age-related wear and deferred maintenance may matter more than mileage alone, so condition should carry extra weight in your decision.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Dodge Charger?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering, because accident-free status is only a starting point. A pre-purchase inspection matters here too, especially if you’re looking at a higher-mileage example or one that has been modified. Focus on overall condition, because the Charger’s appeal depends heavily on how well it has been kept.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base car can feel plain, while V8-equipped versions look and feel much more special. The interior is dated, and the small touchscreen and old-school controls are part of the experience even on better-equipped versions.
• Powertrain: The standard 3.6-liter V6 makes 292 or 300 horsepower depending on trim and is the only engine paired with all-wheel drive. Higher trims move to Hemi V8 power, with the 5.7-liter V8 in R/T models and the 6.4-liter V8 in Scat Pack models.
• Safety package: Rear parking sensors and a backup camera are standard. Forward collision warning with emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control are optional on SXT, GT, R/T, and Scat Pack models and unavailable on Hellcats. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional only on GT, R/T, and Scat Pack models.
• Infotainment: The Charger uses an 8.4-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, voice recognition, and SiriusXM. It does not get the latest Uconnect system, over-the-air updates, or phone-based starting.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 can deliver up to 30 mpg on the highway, the 5.7-liter V8 can shut down half its cylinders for a 25-mpg-rated highway cruise, and the Hellcat is described as returning about 10 mpg.

Which 2023 Dodge Charger trim should I buy?

The 2023 Dodge Charger is offered in 4 trim levels: SXT, GT, R/T, Scat Pack.

Here's the short version:

• SXT: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Charger experience at the lowest cost. It makes the most sense if you want the styling and size without paying for V8 power, but it is also the trim most affected by the car’s basic-tech feel.
• GT: This is the better everyday choice if you want a more complete version of the Charger without jumping to V8 pricing. It keeps the core formula intact while sitting in the middle of the lineup, making it the best-value trim for many shoppers.
• R/T: This is the first trim that brings the 5.7-liter Hemi V8, so it is the right pick if you want the classic Charger character with real muscle-car sound and stronger performance.
• Scat Pack: This is the enthusiast choice if you want the 6.4-liter V8 and the most serious performance in the standard lineup. It is the trim to buy if you care most about acceleration, sound, and the most dramatic driving experience.

Rear parking sensors and a backup camera are standard, while more advanced driver-assistance features remain optional on most trims and unavailable on Hellcats.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Dodge Charger?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you should shop with a clear target and be ready to move when the right listing appears.

• Deal availability: 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,419 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 14.79% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 77.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,145, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Dodge Charger's resale value?

The current average of $34,620 sits slightly above last year's $30,161.

That price increase suggests the Charger has held buyer interest well, even as it nears the end of its run. For a future seller, that kind of upward movement can help support stronger resale performance, especially if the car is in good condition and equipped with a desirable engine.

The model’s final-year appeal and enthusiast following also help keep demand alive. If you own a well-kept example, you may benefit from the combination of limited future supply and steady interest from shoppers who want a traditional gas-powered performance sedan.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Dodge Charger safe?

The 2023 Dodge Charger earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover, and five-star ratings in all other NHTSA tests.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Rear parking sensors and a backup camera are standard, but the camera is described as fuzzy.

The IIHS results are based on a 2015 Chrysler 300, which makes them less directly relevant to the Charger itself. The car does receive top “Good” ratings in many categories, but that caveat matters when you’re weighing safety confidence in a used example.

Should I buy a 2023 Dodge Charger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 14.79% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It is the final-year Charger, which adds appeal for buyers who want a last-call version of this full-size performance sedan.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $28,587, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $34,620 average.
• It offers traditional gas-powered performance with muscular proportions and rare old-school character.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of final-year appeal, owner satisfaction, and market support, the 2023 is the better target. If your priority is saving money and you still want the Charger’s personality, the 2022 is the smarter value play.
