Used 2023 Chevrolet Colorado for Sale nearPhiladelphia, PA

How much does the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado cost?

Prices have softened 6.88% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,754 listings available, which gives you a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

It’s a strong fit if you want a modern midsize truck that emphasizes capability, tech, and everyday usefulness, though a few drawbacks matter. You get a user rating of 3/5 and an expert rating of 6.5/10.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The Colorado’s redesign focuses on the basics buyers usually want, and it still feels modern and capable. It comes only in a crew-cab, short-bed configuration, and the truck’s stylish design and impressive off-roading capability help it stand out. The trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy, an aggravating forward collision warning system, and interior materials that feel cheap.

That mix makes it appealing if you value utility and a well-equipped cabin more than refinement. The market also shows 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which supports a selective-shopping approach.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

The 2023 Colorado looks robustly engineered, and its powertrain and tech package are substantial for the class. The truck’s performance content points to a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine across the lineup, and the cost-effectiveness notes suggest the value equation is attractive at purchase.

The dependability picture is less about mechanical complexity and more about ownership experience. The performance and tech setup is modern, but the cost-effectiveness content warns that fuel savings may be limited over time.

If you’re shopping used, the main long-term risk is that a frustrating ownership issue can outweigh the truck’s strengths, so you should prioritize a careful test drive and service-history review.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Colorado?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper history check. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the truck’s electronics, safety systems, and overall cabin condition. Pay close attention to how the truck drives in normal traffic, since a used example should feel composed and free of warning-system annoyances.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Work Truck trim includes modern instrumentation, infotainment, connectivity, and safety technologies, but the cabin materials are described as cheap, and the Trail Boss adds a purposeful skid plate that the WT lacks. Other trims get nicer cabins and more body-color treatment.
• Powertrain: Every 2023 Colorado uses a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine. WT and LT make 237 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, while Trail Boss and Z71 use a 310-horsepower version with 391 pound-feet of torque; ZR2 matches the 310-horsepower rating with 430 pound-feet of torque.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Optional features include adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with active steering assist, rear cross-traffic and pedestrian alert with automatic braking, and rear parking sensors.
• Infotainment: Every Colorado gets an 11.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Google Built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM, OnStar, Chevrolet connected services, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The digital instrumentation uses an 8-inch screen except in the ZR2, which gets an 11-inch display.
• Fuel efficiency: The Trail Boss returned 19 mpg in official EPA testing, and the review loop averaged 17 mpg.

Which 2023 Chevrolet Colorado trim should I buy?

The 2023 Chevrolet Colorado is offered in 5 trim levels: WT, LT, Trail Boss, Z71, ZR2.

Here's the short version:

• WT: This is the entry point, but it still gets the Colorado’s modern digital instrumentation, 11.3-inch touchscreen, and standard safety tech. It makes the most sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the redesigned truck and don’t need the more off-road-focused hardware.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it keeps the core tech and adds a more flexible setup, including available 2WD or 4WD and the optional more powerful engine. It’s the trim to target if you want a more balanced Colorado without jumping straight into the off-road models.
• Trail Boss: This trim adds a 2-inch suspension lift, standard 4WD, all-terrain tires, and hill descent control, making it the clear choice if you want off-road capability without going all the way to the ZR2.
• Z71: This trim also gets standard 4WD, the more powerful engine, all-terrain tires, and a two-speed transfer case with 4WD Lo. It suits you if you want a more capable all-around Colorado with stronger hardware than WT or LT.
• ZR2: This is the most extreme version, with a 3-inch lift, mud-terrain tires, exclusive Multimatic DSSV dampers, and the most off-road-focused setup in the lineup. Choose it if off-road performance matters most.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard across the lineup, but optional ADAS features are not included on every truck.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Colorado?

This looks like a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,754 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.88% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,748, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $33,068 sits slightly below last year's $35,512.

That decline suggests the market has softened, which can help you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means you should expect some depreciation pressure if you buy at the current average and then resell later.

The year-round range also shows the truck has room to move depending on trim, condition, and equipment. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintain the truck well, you’ll be in a better position to protect value when it’s time to sell.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado safe?

The 2023 Colorado earns a Top Safety Pick result from IIHS, and it earns five-star ratings in the NHTSA tests mentioned in the safety content.

It earns a 3/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard, and it includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. OnStar SOS emergency calling and automatic crash notification are also included, along with Teen Driver and Buckle to Drive.

The main caveat is the forward collision warning system, which can be overly sensitive and produce false alerts. Optional ADAS features include adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with active steering assist, rear cross-traffic and pedestrian alert with automatic braking, and rear parking sensors.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.88% compared with last year.
• The 2023 emphasizes modern tech, strong capability, and a redesigned, off-road-friendly lineup.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $36,237, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $33,068 average.
• It leans harder into a more assertive, lifestyle-focused truck identity.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2023 is the smarter buy because it combines a lower average price with strong tech and capability. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model-year direction and a more contemporary lifestyle-pickup feel, the 2024 is worth a look.
