Is the 2023 BMW X6 a good car?

The 2023 BMW X6 stands out because it blends the practicality of a midsize luxury SUV with the lower, more dramatic shape of a crossover coupe. For you, that means a sportier feel than the mechanically similar X5, plus a strong mix of power and equipment.

The X6’s appeal is its distinctive styling, generous standard equipment, and performance-oriented character rather than maximum utility. It is aimed at buyers who want a luxury crossover with standout looks, strong performance, and a high level of standard equipment.

34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 BMW X6 reliable?

The 2023 BMW X6 comes across as a well-equipped luxury SUV with a strong powertrain lineup and a generous list of standard features. It also offers useful upgrades such as adaptive dampers, rear-wheel steering, and four-corner air suspension on all-wheel-drive trims.

For long-term ownership, you should weigh the X6’s premium hardware and specialized design against the possibility of higher upkeep if you plan to keep it for many years.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 BMW X6?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the vehicle closely for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or poor repairs. Focus on overall condition, because a premium SUV like this can hide expensive issues if you only shop by price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 BMW X6?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 542 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.94% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $50,919, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 BMW X6's resale value?

The current average of $50,919 sits slightly below last year's $58,490.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy with less risk of overpaying today. If you plan to resell later, the X6’s current pricing gives you a clearer baseline, but future value will still depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle was maintained.

Should I buy a 2023 BMW X6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.94% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2023 X6 makes sense if you want the model’s distinctive styling, strong equipment list, and a market that has moved lower than it was a year ago. If your priority is stretching your budget, you may want to compare nearby years and shop the best-priced, clean-history example rather than focusing on the newest one alone.
