Used 2023 BMW 7 Series for Sale nearAnaheim, CA

How much does the 2023 BMW 7 Series cost?

Prices have softened 13.83% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 728 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 BMW 7 Series a good car?

It’s a mixed but compelling choice if you want a large luxury sedan that emphasizes comfort, luxury, and performance in equal measure. The user rating is 1/5, and the expert rating is 6.67/10.

The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Safety.

The 7 Series stands out for its ride quality and handling, and it delivers the kind of composed, engaging road manners that suit a flagship sedan. At the same time, its technology interface can be frustrating and unintuitive, and the new styling is likely to divide opinion.

The main trade-offs are the unintuitive technology and potentially polarizing design. If you value a big luxury sedan that still feels lively on the road, those compromises may be easier to live with.

Only 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is selective rather than broadly discounted.

Is the 2023 BMW 7 Series reliable?

The 2023 BMW 7 Series is positioned as a premium flagship with a strong luxury foundation, but its ownership experience depends heavily on how much you value its advanced features. The expert review highlights a well-executed blend of comfort, luxury, and performance, while also noting that some of the car’s newer ideas come with compromises.

The performance notes point to a smooth, powerful drivetrain lineup, and the expert review says the 7 Series glides away from a stop with fluid response and confidence. The cost-effectiveness notes also point to a 31 mpg combined estimate for the 740i, which is the more efficient choice in the lineup.

For used buyers, the long-term risk is less about outright capability and more about living with a complex luxury system that may be expensive to keep satisfying over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 BMW 7 Series?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a car with advanced electronics and luxury features. Focus on overall condition, how the technology operates, and whether the car’s equipment matches what you expect from the trim you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The standard 740i is the more approachable choice, while the 760i xDrive adds a more powerful V8 and all-wheel drive. The base car already brings a premium cabin and strong luxury presence, but the higher trim is the one for you if you want maximum performance.
• Powertrain: The 740i uses a 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder with a 48-volt mild hybrid system, while the 760i xDrive uses a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8. The six-cylinder is the efficiency-minded pick, and the V8 is for you if you want stronger acceleration.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor, lane-keep assist, a traffic-sign reader, adaptive headlights, parking sensors, and safe exit warnings. The optional Driving Assistance Professional package adds a hands-free automated driving system for highways.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses iDrive 8, which can be controlled by touchscreen, a central dial, or voice commands. The system is feature-rich, but the menu structure is complicated, and the theater screen can be awkward to use.
• Fuel efficiency: The 740i is estimated to return 31 mpg in combined city and highway driving, while the 760i is estimated at 26 mpg.

Which 2023 BMW 7 Series trim should I buy?

The 2023 BMW 7 Series is offered in 2 trim levels: 740i and 760i xDrive.

Here's the short version:

• 740i: This is the best-value choice if you want the core 7 Series experience without paying for the V8. It gives you the luxury, comfort, and strong ride quality that define the car, plus the better fuel economy estimate.
• 760i xDrive: Choose this if you want the most power and the added traction of all-wheel drive. It’s the more expensive, more performance-focused option, and it suits you best if acceleration matters more than efficiency.

The standard safety equipment is strong, and the optional Driving Assistance Professional package adds the highway hands-free system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 BMW 7 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 728 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.83% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $61,717, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 BMW 7 Series's resale value?

The current average of $61,719 sits slightly below last year's $71,622.

That drop suggests the market has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help you as a buyer today. If you plan to resell later, the same trend means you should expect the car to continue behaving like a luxury sedan with notable value loss over time.

For a future seller, the key takeaway is that strong initial depreciation can work against you, especially in a segment where buyers have plenty of alternatives. If you buy at the right price now, though, you may reduce the sting of that decline.

Is the 2023 BMW 7 Series safe?

The 2023 BMW 7 Series has not yet been crash tested by either NHTSA or IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor, lane-keep assist, a traffic-sign reader, adaptive headlights, parking sensors, and safe exit warnings. The optional Driving Assistance Professional package adds a hands-free automated driving system for highways.

The expert review says the adaptive cruise control is smooth, and the highway driving assistant reduces fatigue on long trips. It also notes that the system requires the driver to keep eyes on the road, even when the automated driving features are active.

Should I buy a 2023 BMW 7 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.83% compared with last year.
• The 2023 brings a redesigned cabin and a strong blend of comfort, luxury, and performance.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $68,143, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $61,719 average.
• It adds the 750e plug-in hybrid and a lightly updated infotainment system.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2023 is the smarter starting point because it already delivers the redesigned 7 Series experience at a lower average price. If you’re willing to pay more for the newer model year’s plug-in hybrid option and updated tech, the 2024 is the better fit for you.
