Used 2022 Toyota Supra for Sale nearChicago, IL

How much does the 2022 Toyota Supra cost?

Prices are up 2.05% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 178 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Toyota Supra a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Toyota Supra earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Owners repeatedly praise its power, fun driving experience, sporty feel, stylish interior, and strong handling. The main trade-offs are the manual transmission not being available, all-wheel drive not being available, and the small touchscreen.

Given its focus on driving enjoyment and sharp handling, it fits you best if you want a distinctive sports coupe rather than maximum practicality. Even so, 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Toyota Supra reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in the ways that matter to enthusiasts: strong performance, enjoyable handling, and a sporty character that owners continue to value over time. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the Supra is built around a balanced, fun-to-drive setup, which supports confidence in day-to-day use.

Toyota’s first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house, which helps reduce early ownership friction. For used buyers, the bigger long-term risk is that this car’s BMW-based powertrain and repair needs may be pricier than you’d expect from a typical Toyota.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Toyota Supra?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially because this is a performance coupe with a premium ownership profile. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and whether the car has been modified or driven hard. If you’re comparing listings, pay close attention to equipment differences because the trim structure changes the car’s value a lot.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base 2.0 is the most affordable entry point, but it comes with a smaller four-speaker audio setup and lacks the upgraded features found higher up. The 3.0 Premium adds a full-color head-up display and more upscale equipment, while the A91-CF Edition sits at the top of the range with limited-production appeal.
• Powertrain: You get a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder in the 2.0, or a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six in the 3.0, 3.0 Premium, and A91-CF Edition. The six-cylinder models deliver much stronger acceleration and are the better fit if you want the full sports-car experience.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes front, side, knee, and curtain airbags, forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning with steering assist, and automatic high beams. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors with emergency braking are bundled into the Driver Assist Package on the 3.0 Premium and A91-CF Edition, while other models need the larger Safety and Technology Package to get those features.
• Infotainment: The base setup uses an 8.8-inch display screen, while higher trims add an 8.8-inch touchscreen with navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay, and voice recognition. The 3.0 Premium and A91-CF Edition also get a 12-speaker JBL audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.0 is rated at 25 mpg city and 32 mpg highway, while six-cylinder models return 22 mpg city and 30 mpg highway.

Which 2022 Toyota Supra trim should I buy?

The 2022 Toyota Supra is offered in 4 trim levels: 2.0, 3.0, 3.0 Premium, and A91-CF Edition.

Here's the short version:

• 2.0: This is the entry point if you want the lowest starting price and still want the Supra’s styling and rear-wheel-drive sports-car character. It makes the most sense if you care more about getting into the model than about maximum power or luxury features.
• 3.0: This is the best-value choice if you want the stronger six-cylinder engine without stepping all the way up to the pricier premium trim. It gives you the biggest performance jump in the lineup and keeps the car focused on driving enjoyment.
• 3.0 Premium: This is the sweet spot if you want the most complete everyday package. It adds the head-up display and can be paired with the Driver Assist Package, making it the trim that best balances performance, comfort, and convenience.
• A91-CF Edition: This is the limited-production top trim for buyers who want exclusivity and the most fully equipped version of the Supra. It suits you if rarity matters as much as performance and features.

The safety package is not standard on every trim, so if driver-assistance features matter to you, make sure the listing includes the right package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Toyota Supra?

Act selectively, because this is still a seller’s market and the best listings can move quickly.

• Deal availability: 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 178 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.05% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 80.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $49,251, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Toyota Supra's resale value?

The current average of $51,639 sits slightly above last year's $50,600.

That upward move suggests the market still values this model year well, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. The fact that prices are holding near the top of the year-round range also points to steady demand rather than a softening market.

Because the Supra has a strong enthusiast following and limited inventory, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than ordinary used sports cars. If you buy carefully and keep the car in good condition, you’re more likely to preserve value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Toyota Supra safe?

The 2022 Toyota Supra earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota equips every model with front, side, knee, and curtain airbags, forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning with steering assist, and automatic high beams. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors with emergency braking are included in the Driver Assist Package on the 3.0 Premium and A91-CF Edition, while other trims need the larger Safety and Technology Package to get those features.

The main caveat is that crash-test ratings from NHTSA and IIHS haven’t been published for this model, so you should lean heavily on the standard safety equipment and the vehicle’s condition when shopping used.

Should I buy a 2022 Toyota Supra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.05% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It offers a strong mix of sharp handling, turbocharged power, and a driver-focused coupe layout.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $47,887, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $51,639 average.
• It offers a distinctive, attention-grabbing sports-car feel with strong performance.

Consider the 2023 if:

• It finally adds the manual transmission many enthusiasts wanted.
• It broadens appeal for drivers who want a more involved sports car.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current-market availability, owner satisfaction, and performance, the 2022 is the primary path to consider. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 can save you money while still delivering the Supra experience, while the 2023 is the better choice if a manual transmission is a must-have.
