Used 2022 Toyota Supra for Sale near Illinois

How much does the 2022 Toyota Supra cost?

Prices are up 2.92% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 160 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Toyota Supra a good car?

Yes — it earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Owners consistently praise the Supra’s performance, handling, power, fun driving experience, sporty feel, and stylish interior. The main trade-off is that some shoppers may run into dealer markup, which can push the price higher than expected.

The Supra’s use case is clear: it’s aimed at you if you want a performance-focused sports coupe that feels special and delivers strong driving enjoyment. With 33.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there are still opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Toyota Supra reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable, fun, and satisfying to live with over time, especially if you value performance that stays engaging. The expert notes also emphasize that the Supra’s powertrain relies heavily on BMW engineering and may require BMW-level maintenance and repair, which can be pricier than the average Toyota budget.

That means long-term ownership risk is less about day-to-day enjoyment and more about potentially higher upkeep costs than you might expect from the badge alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Toyota Supra?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a full records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on condition, maintenance history, and any signs of hard use. Because this is a sports coupe, it’s smart to pay close attention to wear items and whether the car has been driven in a way that matches its performance intent.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base 2.0 is the entry point, while the 3.0, 3.0 Premium, and A91-CF Edition add more equipment and a stronger performance focus. The base trim’s smaller touchscreen and simpler audio setup are the biggest feature gaps to watch for if you want a more upscale cabin.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder and a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six. The four-cylinder is rated at 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, while the six-cylinder makes 382 hp and 368 lb-ft; both use rear-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic.
• Safety package: The standard safety suite includes front, side, knee, and curtain airbags, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning with steering assist, and automatic high beams. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors with emergency braking are bundled into the Driver Assist Package on higher trims, or into a larger package on lower trims.
• Infotainment: The base setup uses an 8.8-inch display with AM/FM, digital audio, satellite radio, USB, and Bluetooth. Higher trims add an 8.8-inch touchscreen with navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay, and voice recognition, and the 3.0 Premium also gets a full-color head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The four-cylinder returns 25 mpg city and 32 mpg highway, while the six-cylinder is rated at 22 mpg city and 30 mpg highway.

Which 2022 Toyota Supra trim should I buy?

The 2022 Toyota Supra is offered in 4 trim levels: 2.0, 3.0, 3.0 Premium, and A91-CF Edition.

Here's the short version:

• 2.0: This is the least expensive way into the Supra, and it still gives you the core rear-wheel-drive sports-car experience. It makes the most sense if you want the styling and handling first, and you’re willing to live with the simpler infotainment setup and fewer upscale features.
• 3.0: This is the better pick if you want the stronger six-cylinder engine without jumping all the way to the premium trim. It adds a major performance step up and is the trim to consider if you care most about the driving experience.
• 3.0 Premium: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the more desirable comfort and tech upgrades, including the head-up display and the upgraded audio and touchscreen setup. It’s also the trim that pairs well with the Driver Assist Package.
• A91-CF Edition: This is the limited-production top trim, aimed at buyers who want exclusivity and the most distinctive version of the Supra. It also supports the Driver Assist Package, but it’s the least practical choice if you’re shopping on value.

The safety package is available on the 3.0 Premium and A91-CF Edition, while the broader Safety and Technology Package is the route for adding those features to the 2.0 and 3.0.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Toyota Supra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you should shop with patience and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 160 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.92% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 77.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $49,266, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Toyota Supra's resale value?

The current average of $51,996 sits slightly above last year's $50,519.

That upward move suggests the Supra is holding demand well in the used market. For a future seller, that’s a helpful sign because a model with rising prices tends to be easier to position confidently when it’s time to list. The limited inventory also supports the idea that shoppers are still actively looking for this car.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Toyota Supra safe?

The 2022 Toyota Supra has no published crash-test ratings from NHTSA or IIHS.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety equipment includes front, side, knee, and curtain airbags, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning with steering assist, and automatic high beams. If you want more driver assistance, the Driver Assist Package adds adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors with emergency braking function.

One important caveat is that the Supra’s coupe body style means you should be especially mindful of how and where you drive it, since it’s a smaller vehicle in a world full of larger trucks and SUVs.

Should I buy a 2022 Toyota Supra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.92% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It offers strong performance with a choice of turbo-four or turbo-six power.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $47,915, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $51,996 average.
• It offers a lighter, more affordable entry into the Supra lineup.

Consider the 2023 if:

• It adds the manual transmission many enthusiasts wanted.
• It sharpens the car’s appeal for drivers who want more involvement.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current-market availability, owner satisfaction, and performance, the 2022 is the primary path to consider. If your budget matters most, the 2021 is the better value play. If you care most about driver engagement, the 2023 is the one to watch.
