Used 2021 Toyota Supra for Sale near Illinois

How much does the 2021 Toyota Supra cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 236 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2021 Toyota Supra a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Toyota Supra earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Drivers consistently praise its sporty performance, fast acceleration, and eye-catching design. The expert review also backs up the appeal with strong handling and a powerful engine, and the car’s unusual Japan-Germany-Austria backstory adds to its sense of occasion.

The trade-offs are real, though: the ride quality is poor, visibility is poor, and a manual transmission is not available. That makes it a focused sports car rather than a broad all-rounder, so it fits you best if you want style and driving enjoyment more than everyday practicality.

With 28.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s enough market activity to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Toyota Supra reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a car that feels dependable in the ways sports-car buyers care about most: strong performance, fast acceleration, and a driving experience that keeps owners happy over time. The expert review also describes the turbocharged four-cylinder as very strong, very linear, and smooth, which supports the sense that the powertrain is built to be easy to live with.

Toyota also includes a useful ownership perk in the package: four years of smartphone access for remote unlocking, location alerts, emergency calling, map updates, and live traffic. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the car has been maintained carefully and treated as the specialized sports coupe it is.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Toyota Supra?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a sports car like this can be driven hard even when it looks clean. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on tires, brakes, suspension condition, and signs of curb rash or track use. You should also pay close attention to whether the car has the equipment you want, since some desirable features are bundled into an upgrade package.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base car is well equipped, but the 3.0 Premium adds full leather, and the Safety and Technology Package brings several important convenience and safety upgrades.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four with 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, or a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six with 382 hp and 368 lb-ft. Both use an eight-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive.
• Safety package: The Safety and Technology Package adds blind-spot monitoring, rear emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control on top of standard forward automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, and auto high beams.
• Infotainment: Every 2021 Supra gets an 8.8-inch touchscreen. The Safety and Technology Package adds navigation, a 12-speaker JBL stereo, wireless Apple CarPlay, and four years of smartphone access.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.0 averaged 28 mpg in testing and matches its combined rating, while the 3.0 is rated 22/30/25.

Which 2021 Toyota Supra trim should I buy?

The 2021 Toyota Supra is offered in 2 trim levels: 2.0 and 3.0.

Here's the short version:

• 2.0: This is the more affordable way into the Supra, and it still delivers strong performance, sharp handling, and the same standout styling as the pricier version. It makes the most sense if you want the look and driving feel without paying for the extra power of the six-cylinder.
• 3.0: This is the better choice if you want the full Supra experience, with the stronger inline-six, more power, and the more premium feel that comes with it. It’s the best-value trim if performance is your top priority.

The Safety and Technology Package is the key upgrade to look for if you want blind-spot monitoring, rear emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay, and the JBL audio system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Toyota Supra?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 236 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 79.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $45,337, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Toyota Supra's resale value?

The current average of $47,403 sits slightly below last year's $47,653.

That small decline suggests the market has been stable rather than volatile, which is helpful if you plan to resell later. A steady price pattern can make it easier to estimate future value, especially for a niche sports car with limited inventory. Because demand appears consistent, a well-kept example should remain easier to move than a neglected one.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Toyota Supra safe?

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The Supra has not been crash-tested by NHTSA or IIHS, so there are no official crash ratings to cite. Standard safety equipment includes knee airbags for the driver and passenger, forward automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, and auto high beams. The Safety and Technology Package adds blind-spot monitoring, rear emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control.

The main caveat is that you’re buying a low-volume sports car without published crash-test results, so you should lean more heavily on its standard driver-assistance features and the vehicle’s condition history.

Should I buy a 2021 Toyota Supra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds two new engines and a more affordable entry point.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $50,832, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $47,403 average.
• It marked the Supra’s long-awaited return and emphasized the car’s comeback appeal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $50,914, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $47,403 average.
• It keeps the same driver-focused formula with the available turbocharged engines.

The bottom line: The 2021 is the better primary pick if you want the strongest mix of price, performance, and market availability. If you’re shopping on a tighter budget, the 2021 still gives you the core Supra experience without paying the higher averages seen in the adjacent years.
