Used 2022 Toyota Sienna for Sale nearCharlotte, NC

How much does the 2022 Toyota Sienna cost?

Prices have softened 4.77% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,632 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Toyota Sienna a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Toyota Sienna earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.7/10 expert rating.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

The Sienna’s appeal starts with its hybrid-only setup, which makes it a practical choice if you want minivan space without giving up efficiency. It also brings plenty of cargo room and a family-focused cabin, while the new Woodland trim adds a more adventurous look and feel for buyers who want a little extra personality.

The main trade-off is that it is priced higher than competitors, so you are paying a premium for its efficiency, space, and safety strengths. The expert notes also point to that higher entry point as the biggest drawback.

34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Toyota Sienna reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Sienna’s reliability case is built around Toyota’s hybrid-focused approach and its carryover redesign, which keeps the formula familiar for used buyers. The hybrid system is central to the model’s identity, and the expert coverage emphasizes its efficiency-first mission rather than a complicated or unproven setup.

The performance notes also point to a smooth, efficient powertrain and a battery pack backed by a 10-year/150,000-mile warranty. Toyota’s warranty coverage for the hybrid-related components adds another layer of reassurance for long-term ownership.

If you are buying used, the biggest ownership risk is paying too much for a vehicle whose value is already tied closely to efficiency and family utility.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Toyota Sienna?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any listing you are considering, even if the vehicle appears clean on paper. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important on a family hauler like this, where you want to confirm that the cabin, seating, and electronics all match the seller’s description. Focus on overall condition, because the Sienna’s value proposition depends heavily on its efficiency, space, and safety equipment being intact and working properly.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LE gives you the essentials, but higher trims add more comfort and convenience, including larger wheels, more upscale cabin features, and available second-row captain’s chairs with ottomans. The Woodland trim is the one to look at if you want the more adventurous look and feel.
• Powertrain: The Sienna uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid setup with two electric motors, and front-wheel drive is standard. All-wheel drive is available across the lineup, and the hybrid system is tuned for efficiency rather than outright speed.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, lane tracing assist, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and traffic sign recognition. Toyota’s Star Safety System is also standard.
• Infotainment: A 9-inch touchscreen is standard, along with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, SiriusXM, one USB media port, and six USB charging ports. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not included.
• Fuel efficiency: Front-wheel-drive models are rated at 36 mpg city, 36 mpg highway, and 36 mpg combined, while all-wheel-drive models are rated at 35 mpg city, 36 mpg highway, and 35 mpg combined.

Which 2022 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?

The 2022 Toyota Sienna is offered in 6 trim levels: LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, Platinum, Woodland Edition.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core hybrid minivan experience at the lowest price. It is the trim to start with if you want the Sienna’s efficiency and space without paying for extras.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more upscale feel and unlocks more convenience features without jumping all the way to the pricier upper trims.
• XSE: This trim adds a sportier personality and sits above the XLE, making it a good fit if you want a more distinctive look and a richer feature set.
• Limited: This is the luxury-leaning choice, with more premium equipment and comfort-focused upgrades for buyers who want a more polished family hauler.
• Woodland Edition: This is the trim for you if you want the more adventurous look and feel, plus AWD-only positioning that sets it apart from the rest of the lineup.
• Platinum: This is the top-end choice, with the most upscale equipment and the most advanced convenience features in the range.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard across the lineup, so even the lower trims start with a strong safety foundation.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Toyota Sienna?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,632 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.77% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,993, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $35,993 sits slightly below last year's $37,795.

That price movement suggests the Sienna has softened a bit in the used market, which can help you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means resale value may be steadier if the vehicle remains in strong condition and continues to appeal to efficiency-minded family shoppers.

Because the Sienna’s value is tied to its hybrid efficiency, space, and safety reputation, well-kept examples should remain attractive to buyers. If you maintain it carefully and keep the history clean, you are more likely to preserve demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Toyota Sienna safe?

The 2022 Toyota Sienna earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, lane tracing assist, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and traffic sign recognition. Toyota’s Star Safety System is also standard, along with 10 airbags, multiple LATCH child-seat connectors, a rear-seat reminder system, tire-pressure monitoring, and an inflator kit.

That combination makes the Sienna a strong safety choice for family buyers, especially if you want a minivan with a broad standard driver-assistance suite. The main caveat is that the safety story is still tied to the standard equipment on the trim you choose, so you should confirm the exact feature set on any used listing.

Should I buy a 2022 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds the new Woodland trim for buyers who want a more adventurous look and feel.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $33,899, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $35,993 average.
• It introduced the redesigned hybrid Sienna with a major makeover and standard hybrid powertrain.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $40,119, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $35,993 average.
• It keeps the hybrid formula while emphasizing standard safety and family-friendly practicality.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of current pricing, strong safety, and hybrid efficiency, the 2022 is the sweet spot. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the better value play; if you want to spend more for a newer model-year alternative, the 2023 is the next step up.
