Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting deep bargain-bin pricing.

• Deal availability: 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,090 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.74% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 83.3% of listings are accident-free.

What is the 2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $29,597 sits slightly below last year's $30,123.

That softer pricing can help you buy with a little more confidence today, but it also suggests resale values may be under some pressure compared with a year ago. If you plan to sell later, a well-kept example with strong service history should hold up better than one with visible wear or incomplete records. The model's broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction should continue to support demand.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.74% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $28,308, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $29,597 average.
• It adds standard all-wheel drive confidence.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $32,855, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $29,597 average.
• It brings a newer infotainment system and improved comfort.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around pick if you want a strong mix of owner satisfaction, inventory depth, and softened pricing. If your priority is spending less, the 2021 is the better value path; if you want a newer-feeling cabin and can pay more, the 2023 is worth a look.
