Why it stands out
The 2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid sets itself apart with its impressive fuel efficiency and capacity for family transport. While it may not be the most visually striking SUV on the market, its combination of practicality and cost-effectiveness makes it a solid contender in the midsize SUV segment. Powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid engine that produces 243 horsepower, the Highlander Hybrid provides competent performance without sacrificing fuel economy. Its spacious interior can accommodate up to eight passengers, although the third row is better suited for children rather than adults. Moreover, the Highlander Hybrid comes equipped with essential safety features, earning high marks in crash safety ratings. The vehicle's quiet ride and comfortable seating enhance the family experience, though its interior materials may not feel as premium compared to rivals. Overall, the Highlander Hybrid offers great value, especially for families prioritizing efficiency.

I had a 2012 Highlander Hybrid XLE….loved it!! Toyota and Lexus Hybrid models until a return to the re-design of this year’s beauty. I got the Highlander Hybrid Platinum. Great ride, fantastic gas mileage. Top quality interior, nothing cheap about the quality.

Comfortable, good responsive feel on the road, feature rich, great gas mileage. Moderate storage capacity for its size in comparison to a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Not a good choice for towing above 2500 lbs.
