You should run a vehicle history report on any promising listing and confirm whether the car has had collision repairs, title issues, or repeated claims. Should I buy a 2022 Toyota Corolla Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 74% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $20,707, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $19,902 average.
• It adds a stronger emphasis on everyday practicality and easy-to-use technology.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2022 if you want the better value and are willing to shop carefully for a clean example. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer model year, the 2023 is the better secondary path for buyers who prioritize updated everyday usability over saving money.
