Used 2022 Toyota Corolla Hatchback for Sale near Illinois

How much does the 2022 Toyota Corolla Hatchback cost?

Prices have softened 6.01% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 349 listings available, which gives you a moderate amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Toyota Corolla Hatchback a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year.

That kind of feedback suggests you can shop with confidence, especially if you find a well-kept example at a competitive price. The market also shows 31.2% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to be selective.

Is the 2022 Toyota Corolla Hatchback reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

For used buyers, that usually means lower ownership anxiety if the car has been maintained properly and has a clean history. Even so, you should still verify service records and condition carefully because any used car can carry hidden wear.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Toyota Corolla Hatchback?

At 67.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any candidate and confirm whether prior damage was cosmetic or structural. Put inspection priority on body panels, alignment, tire wear, and signs of uneven repairs. Focus on overall condition and documentation, since a clean-looking listing is not always a clean-history listing.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Toyota Corolla Hatchback?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 349 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.01% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 67.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,253, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Toyota Corolla Hatchback's resale value?

The current average of $20,258 sits slightly below last year's $21,553.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. For a seller, the key advantage is that this model year still has broad appeal among shoppers who want a practical hatchback with strong owner satisfaction. Well-kept examples should remain easier to move than neglected ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Toyota Corolla Hatchback or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 67.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $19,829, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $20,258 average.
• It blends Corolla efficiency and reliability with a more engaging, fun-to-drive feel.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $21,861, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $20,258 average.
• It adds more cargo versatility and a stronger emphasis on style and technology.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2022 if you want the best balance of price, owner satisfaction, and current market availability. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 is the better value play; if you want a newer-feeling hatchback with more utility, the 2023 is worth the extra money.
