Toyota introduced the compact Corolla Hatchback for 2019 as a replacement for the Corolla iM. For 2020, it gets a new trim. The Corolla Hatchback comes exclusively with a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine good for 168 horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive (FWD) comes standard. You get to pick between a standard 6-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) with paddle shifters. Finally, the XSE gets 18-inch wheels, leather upholstery, a 7-inch instrument cluster display, LED fog lights, and a premium audio system. The only standalone option is a black-painted roof. Every Corolla Hatchback boasts Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 (TSS 2.0). The suite includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, automatic high beams, and traffic-sign recognition.
