Is the 2022 Porsche Panamera a good car?

The 2022 Porsche Panamera stands out because it blends Porsche performance with four-door practicality in a way few luxury sedans can match. It has the brand’s familiar sportiness and luxury, and the second-generation car’s design is described as much more “Porsche-like” than the original, with a more minimalist, modern interior and large infotainment/display screens. It also keeps the generous passenger space of the earlier car, so it feels like a high-end grand tourer that still works as a family sedan.

For you, that means the Panamera makes the most sense if you want a used luxury car that can do daily-driver duty without giving up a driver-focused feel. The breadth of the lineup and the strong standard equipment add to the appeal, especially if you value a premium cabin and real practicality in the same package.

33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Porsche Panamera reliable?

The 2022 Porsche Panamera is described as having a good reliability record, which is a meaningful plus for a used luxury performance sedan. It also keeps the second-generation car’s broad appeal by pairing strong performance with everyday usability and a well-equipped cabin.

For long-term ownership, you should still expect premium-car running costs and plan for careful maintenance, since that’s part of the tradeoff with a vehicle like this.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Porsche Panamera?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a pre-purchase inspection and pay close attention to overall condition, since premium cars can hide expensive wear items. Focus on service history, signs of prior damage, and whether the car’s equipment and features all work as expected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Porsche Panamera?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 363 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.32% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $72,549, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Porsche Panamera's resale value?

The current average of $72,549 sits slightly below last year's $79,134.

That price movement suggests the Panamera has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help you as a buyer today. If you plan to sell later, the car’s premium positioning and strong brand appeal should help, but the market still rewards well-kept examples with clean histories and desirable equipment. A lower entry price now can also make future resale losses easier to manage if you buy carefully.

Should I buy a 2022 Porsche Panamera or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.32% compared with last year.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $64,038, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $72,549 average.
• It adds updates and a broader lineup.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $81,158, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $72,549 average.
• Adaptive cruise control becomes standard.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best primary path if you want the strongest balance of price, inventory, and clean listings. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the better value play, while the 2023 makes sense only if you want the newer feature set and are willing to pay more.
