Used 2022 Porsche 911 for Sale near Virginia

How much does the 2022 Porsche 911 cost?

Prices are up 1.77% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 892 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.

Is the 2022 Porsche 911 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Porsche 911 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Drivers consistently praise its exceptional performance, handling, and stylish design, and they also value the high-quality interior materials. The car’s everyday usability comes through in the way it balances spirited driving with a cabin that still works for daily use.

The trade-offs are clear: cargo space is limited, advanced safety features are not standard, and it is poor value for money. That makes it best for you if you want a sports car first and a practical commuter second.

With 30.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is at least some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Porsche 911 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a car that feels dependable over time, with drivers repeatedly describing it as a model they can count on for both spirited driving and everyday use. The expert review also emphasizes that the 911’s performance has been refined over generations without sacrificing drivability, which supports the impression of a well-sorted, mature design.

The cabin and controls are built around a long-running formula, and that consistency can be reassuring if you want a used sports car with a proven track record. For long-term ownership, your biggest risk is less about outright durability and more about the cost of keeping a high-end performance car in top condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Porsche 911?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re serious about, especially because sports cars can see harder use than typical daily drivers. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on wear items, signs of track use, and whether the car’s condition matches its mileage and asking price.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Carrera gives you standard forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist, while the optional Premium package adds adaptive headlights, a surround-view camera system, and blind-spot monitoring. If you want more convenience and visibility features, check carefully for those package differences.
• Powertrain: The 911 uses a rear-mounted horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine, with the base Carrera making 379 horsepower. The lineup also includes all-wheel-drive versions, more powerful S and GTS variants, and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission on most models, with a manual available on some higher trims.
• Safety package: Forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist are standard on the base Carrera. The Premium package adds adaptive headlights, a surround-view camera system, and blind-spot monitoring, while night vision and an integrated dashcam are also available.
• Infotainment: The touchscreen sits lower than in many cars, wireless Apple CarPlay is included, and Android Auto still requires a USB cable. The base audio system may disappoint, so you may want to check whether the optional Bose system is fitted.
• Fuel efficiency: The PDK transmission improves acceleration and fuel efficiency, while the manual is the more engaging choice for drivers who prioritize involvement.

Which 2022 Porsche 911 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Porsche 911 is offered in 10 trim levels: Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera S, Carrera 4S, Carrera GTS, Carrera GTS Cabriolet, Turbo, Turbo S, GT3, Sport Classic.

Here's the short version:

• Carrera: This is the trim that makes the most sense if you want the core 911 experience without chasing the highest price tags. It gives you the iconic shape, strong performance, and the everyday drivability that define the model, making it the best-value starting point for most buyers.
• Carrera 4: Choose this if you want the added traction of all-wheel drive and are willing to pay more for it. It suits you best if you value confidence in poor weather more than keeping costs down.
• Carrera S: This is the sweet spot if you want a noticeable step up in power without jumping into the most expensive territory. It adds more performance while staying aligned with the 911’s comfortable, usable character.
• Carrera 4S: Pick this if you want the stronger engine of the S with all-wheel drive. It’s the right fit if you want a more capable all-weather grand-touring setup.
• Carrera GTS: This is the best choice if you want a more serious performance edge and are comfortable paying for it. It sits between the regular Carreras and the higher-performance models, making it a strong pick for enthusiasts.
• Carrera GTS Cabriolet: Choose this if you want the GTS experience with open-air driving. It’s for you if style and top-down enjoyment matter as much as speed.
• Turbo: This is for buyers who want a major jump in performance and are willing to pay for it. It’s best if you want the 911 to feel especially fast without going all the way to the most extreme models.
• Turbo S: This is the top choice if outright performance is your priority and budget is less of a concern. It’s the most expensive mainstream road-going direction in this lineup.
• GT3: Choose this if you want the track-focused side of the 911. It’s the right fit if you care more about maximum driving intensity than comfort or value.
• Sport Classic: This is the halo choice for collectors and enthusiasts who want exclusivity and nostalgia. It’s the least practical option here, but also the most special.

The safety package is limited compared with conventional sedans and SUVs, and feature availability varies by trim level.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Porsche 911?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 892 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.77% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 93.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $212,896, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Porsche 911's resale value?

The current average of $216,665 sits slightly above last year's $212,896.

That upward movement suggests the market is still willing to pay for this model year, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. The relatively tight year-round range also points to steady demand rather than a volatile pricing pattern.

Because the 911 has strong enthusiast appeal and a high satisfaction rating, it should continue to attract buyers who are willing to pay for the right example. If you keep mileage, condition, and maintenance history in good shape, that should help support resale value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Porsche 911 safe?

The Porsche 911 has not been evaluated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), which isn’t unusual for high-end luxury vehicles.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist are standard on the base Carrera. The optional Premium package adds adaptive headlights, a surround-view camera system, and blind-spot monitoring. Other options include night vision and an integrated dashcam feature, and availability varies by trim level.

Compared with conventional sedans and SUVs, the 911 offers very few safety features, so you should pay close attention to the equipment list on any used example you consider.

Should I buy a 2022 Porsche 911 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.77% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 keeps the 911’s approachable performance and everyday drivability intact.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $223,214, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $216,665 average.
• It adds more variants, including the Carrera T, GT3 RS, Sport Classic, and Dakar.

The bottom line: If you want the better value path, the 2022 is the smarter buy because it delivers the core 911 experience with strong owner satisfaction and a more favorable average price. If you’re willing to spend more for extra variety, the 2023 gives you a broader lineup and more specialized choices.
