Used 2022 Nissan Pathfinder for Sale nearSaint Paul, MN

How much does the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder cost?

Prices have softened 13.80% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,302 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used Pathfinder options to compare.

Is the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 4.8/5 from owners and an 8.3/10 from expert testing. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the comfortable seating, spacious interior, and smooth performance. They also point to strong value for the price and appreciate the tech features included.

The trade-offs are the weak fuel economy and unimpressive technology, and some owners mention the third-row seats do not slide. That makes it a better fit if you want a stylish, comfortable three-row SUV with useful cargo space rather than the most advanced cabin in the class.

The market also looks reasonably supportive, with 37.6% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable-feeling SUV with comfortable seating, a spacious interior, and smooth performance that many buyers can count on day to day. The expert evaluation also describes the Pathfinder as a well-rounded family hauler with thoughtful features and safety tech that help it feel reassuring.

The transmission is the main ownership concern to watch, since some drivers noted mixed behavior compared with competitors. For used buyers, that means a careful test drive and a close look at service history matter more than usual.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Nissan Pathfinder?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper history review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, and pay close attention to the transmission behavior, third-row usability, and overall interior condition. If you plan to use the Pathfinder as a family hauler, make sure the seating layout and cargo setup match your needs.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Pathfinder comes in S, SV, SL, and Platinum trims. Base S models are the most stripped-down, while higher trims add features like a panoramic moonroof, roof rack, semi-aniline leather-appointed seating, a surround-view monitor, and more upscale interior touches.
• Powertrain: It uses a 3.5-liter V6 with 284 horsepower and a nine-speed automatic transmission. You can choose front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and the AWD setup adds drive and terrain modes plus hill descent control.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, high-beam assist, rear automatic braking, driver alertness monitor, rear door alert, and forward-collision warning. A surround-view monitor is reserved for upper trims.
• Infotainment: Standard equipment includes an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, satellite radio, voice recognition, and a 7-inch digital driver-information display. Upper trims add a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel.
• Fuel efficiency: The Pathfinder gets 21 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway with front-wheel drive, while AWD models return 21 mpg city and 27 mpg highway. The Platinum AWD gets 20 mpg city and 25 mpg highway.

Which 2022 Nissan Pathfinder trim should I buy?

The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SV, SL, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Pathfinder’s core space, safety tech, and V6 power at the lowest price. It makes sense if you want the basics and plan to keep costs down.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds meaningful convenience features without pushing you into luxury pricing. It’s the trim to focus on if you want a balanced mix of equipment and value.
• SL: This trim steps up to a more upscale feel with semi-aniline leather-appointed seating and available premium audio and convenience upgrades. It suits you if you want a nicer cabin and more comfort-focused features.
• Platinum: This is the most fully equipped version, with standard captain’s chairs, a fully digital 12.3-inch instrument panel, head-up display, and the most premium interior presentation. Choose it if you want the most features and the most upscale Pathfinder experience.

Safety Shield 360 is standard across the lineup, while upper trims add the surround-view monitor.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Nissan Pathfinder?

The market looks moderately favorable if you’re a selective buyer.

• Deal availability: 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,302 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.80% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,278, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $24,278 sits slightly below last year's $28,165.

That drop suggests the Pathfinder has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future buyers but may temper near-term resale expectations. If you buy at the current average or below, you may have less room for further price erosion than someone who bought when prices were higher.

For a future seller, the key is to keep the vehicle in strong condition and preserve its appeal as a comfortable, well-equipped family SUV. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder safe?

The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard on every Pathfinder, and it includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, high-beam assist, rear automatic braking, driver alertness monitor, rear door alert, and forward-collision warning. A rearview camera is standard, and upper trims add a surround-view monitor.

Ten airbags are standard, while the top Platinum trim gets 11. That means the safety package is strong across the lineup, but some of the most helpful visibility tech is reserved for higher trims.

Should I buy a 2022 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.80% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Expert testing highlights its rugged styling, roomy cabin, and strong safety tech.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $29,419, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $24,278 average.
• It adds the Rock Creek edition for a tougher-looking, more rugged option.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2022 is the smarter starting point because prices are lower and deal availability is decent. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model-year option with a rugged-themed variant, the 2023 is the secondary path to consider.
