Used 2023 Nissan Pathfinder for Sale nearSaint Paul, MN

How much does the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder cost?

Prices have softened 8.54% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,628 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 4.7/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, comfortable interior, and especially the second-row seating and sound system. The review summary also points to strong power and utility, along with a practical, family-friendly layout that works well for daily use.

On the downside, the expert notes call out a confusing shifter design and ride quality that can feel uneven depending on the trim and setup. In other words, you get a roomy three-row SUV with broad appeal, but you should be ready to trade some polish for capability and features.

With a family-focused cabin, plenty of cargo and passenger space, and a usable third row, it fits shoppers who want a practical midsize SUV rather than a single standout specialty. Good and great deals account for 38.4% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable-feeling SUV with comfortable seating, strong utility, and a cabin that many drivers feel good about living with over time. The review summary also emphasizes that owners appreciate its power and usefulness, which supports the sense that it can handle regular family duty without drama.

The expert notes reinforce that impression by describing the Pathfinder as smooth and quiet in normal driving, with an automatic transmission that generally behaves well. The model also comes with a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty, which adds some reassurance for used buyers.

The main long-term ownership risk is that some shoppers may find the shifter design and ride balance frustrating over time, so a thorough test drive matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Nissan Pathfinder?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully, because accident-free listings are not the same as guaranteed problem-free vehicles. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important if you are considering a higher-mileage example or a trim with more equipment. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the features you want are actually present on the specific trim.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S trim includes 18-inch alloy wheels, manually adjustable seats, cloth upholstery, push-button start, remote keyless entry, tri-zone automatic climate control, and an 8-inch touchscreen. The SV adds heated front seats, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, remote start, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and additional driver assistance features. The SL adds a 10-way power-adjustable front passenger’s seat, wireless device charging, a heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, and a 9-inch touchscreen. The Rock Creek adds off-road suspension, all-terrain tires, unique styling elements, LED fog lights, a heavy-duty roof cargo rack, standard four-wheel drive, and a water-repellent interior. The Platinum adds upgraded leather upholstery, 20-inch alloy wheels, a hands-free power liftgate, a wall-style power outlet, ventilated front seats, a fully digital instrument panel, and a power tilt-telescoping steering wheel.
• Powertrain: The Pathfinder uses a 3.5-liter V6 with 284 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive. The Rock Creek version is tuned to 295 hp and 270 lb-ft, and it adds off-road capability with a taller suspension and off-road shocks.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, forward and reverse collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, rear parking sensors, driver attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The SV adds ProPilot Assist with lane centering and adaptive cruise control. The SL adds front parking sensors, a 360-degree parking monitor, traffic-sign recognition, and navigation-linked ProPilot Assist. The Platinum adds rain-sensing wipers and a head-up display.
• Infotainment: The S trim gets an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The SL, Rock Creek, and Platinum use a 9-inch touchscreen. The Pathfinder also includes Bluetooth connectivity, satellite radio, voice recognition, and four USB ports. The SL adds wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless device charging, and a third-row USB port, while the Platinum adds a second third-row USB port.
• Fuel efficiency: The Pathfinder returns 21 mpg city, 27 highway, and 23 combined. SL and Platinum 4WD trims return 20 mpg city, 25 highway, and 22 combined. The Rock Creek is rated at 20 mpg city, 23 highway, and 21 combined.

Which 2023 Nissan Pathfinder trim should I buy?

The 2023 Nissan Pathfinder is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SV, SL, Rock Creek, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Pathfinder experience with the 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, tri-zone climate control, and the standard safety suite. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model, but it is also the most basic version.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds heated front seats, a power driver’s seat, remote start, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and more driver assistance features without jumping all the way to the pricier upper trims.
• SL: This is the sweet spot if you want a more upscale daily driver. You get leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, wireless device charging, a 9-inch touchscreen, and more parking and safety tech.
• Rock Creek: Choose this if you want the rugged look and the added off-road hardware. It brings off-road suspension, all-terrain tires, standard four-wheel drive, and a more durable interior, but the tradeoff is a rougher ride on pavement.
• Platinum: This is the luxury-leaning choice, with ventilated front seats, upgraded leather, a digital instrument panel, a hands-free power liftgate, and the most premium feature set in the lineup.

The SL, Rock Creek, and Platinum trims also get the larger 9-inch touchscreen, while the SV is the first trim to add ProPilot Assist.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,628 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.54% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,419, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $29,419 sits slightly below last year's $32,166.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at a strong price now, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger hit later.

For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition. The Pathfinder’s broad family appeal and solid owner satisfaction should help support demand, but resale will still depend heavily on mileage, trim, and overall presentation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

The Platinum adds rain-sensing wipers and a head-up display.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.54% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 adds the Rock Creek edition, giving you a more rugged option within the lineup.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $24,278, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $29,419 average.
• It leans into a rugged look while adding thoughtful features and safety technology.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year pricing trend, stronger inventory, and the added Rock Creek option, the 2023 is the better primary pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2022 is the smarter value play.
