Used 2022 Nissan Kicks for Sale near Iowa

Nissan, like many other automakers, has shifted to a vehicle lineup with a heavy focus on SUVs and utility vehicles. Its smallest, the Kicks, joined the line in 2016 as a subcompact crossover that slots in under the Rogue Sport and Rogue. The Kicks got a redesign for 2021 and carries over into 2022 unchanged, but the Nissan logo got an update for the new model year. All Kicks trims get the same 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine making 122 horsepower and 114 pound-feet of torque. It’s paired with a continuously variable transmission and front-wheel drive. The powertrain leans hard to the mild instead of wild, but it’s a good match for the Kicks’s urban cruiser demeanor. It’s also aided by the fact that the Kicks weighs just 2,752 pounds in its heaviest configuration. Though set up more for comfort than handling, the Kicks remains settled and predictable when driven relatively hard. It manages poor road conditions well and maintains a comfortable ride even over broken pavement and potholes. The base S trim gets 16-inch wheels, and the SV/SR trims get 17-inch wheels. Both sizes provide plenty of tire rubber to aid in ride quality and to help soak up bumps and bangs from the road. The Kicks comes with a decent list of standard tech features that includes six speakers, a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, USB inputs, Bluetooth, and a 12-volt outlet. The SV and SR trims get an 8-inch screen, and the top SR trim is available with a Bose eight-speaker stereo system. SiriusXM radio and over-the-air updates are also available. The 2022 Nissan Kicks hasn’t been crash tested by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), but its predecessor posted strong scores. The 2021 Kicks picked up “Good” scores in all crash test categories and a Good+ score for LATCH system ease of use. The 2020 Nissan Kicks was the last model evaluated by the NHTSA, where it earned four stars overall. Nissan gives every Kicks a solid list of standard safety features that includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, lane departure warnings, blind spot warnings, rear cross traffic alerts, a rear sonar system, and a rearview camera. Adaptive cruise control become standard starting with the midrange SV trim. The 2022 Nissan Kicks is on sale now with a starting price of $20,295. The SV trim starts at $22,775 and the top SR trim starts at $23,465. Only one package is available: The SR Premium Package, which brings a Bose stereo, heated seats and steering wheel, a tonneau cover, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and more.
