Used 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class for Sale nearBaton Rouge, LA

How much does the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class cost?

Prices have softened 10.51% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,922 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable selection to compare.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

It stands out as a more premium take on the nameplate, borrowing design cues from Mercedes-Benz’s flagship S-Class and aiming at buyers who want a lot of Mercedes character for the money. In testing, it impressed with stylish design, great ride quality, and impressive technology, which makes it especially appealing if you value comfort and a polished cabin experience.

The trade-offs are that the transmission can be irritating and performance is described as sluggish, so it is not the sharpest choice if you prioritize quick responses. Even so, 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 C-Class is positioned as a refined luxury sedan with standard rear-wheel drive, optional 4Matic all-wheel drive, and a cabin that leans heavily into premium presentation. Its powertrain uses a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, and Mercedes says the setup can contribute extra power in short bursts, which supports everyday drivability.

Mercedes also includes a four-year, 50,000-mile basic warranty and a four-year, 50,000-mile powertrain warranty. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a tech-heavy luxury sedan can be more expensive to keep in top shape if prior maintenance has been inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury sedan with a lot of electronics and driver-assistance equipment. Focus on overall condition, how smoothly the transmission behaves, and whether the infotainment and safety features work as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes Premium, Exclusive, and Pinnacle, and the base setup already brings a strong luxury feel with standard LED headlights and taillights, a freestanding touchscreen, and synthetic leather upholstery. Higher trims add more upscale equipment, so the best-value choice depends on how much you want beyond the standard cabin presentation.
• Powertrain: The C300 uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a nine-speed automatic transmission and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. Mercedes says the setup can add short bursts of extra power, but the test car showed some turbo lag and rough shifts.
• Safety package: Standard safety equipment includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with safe exit assist, a driver-attention monitor, Pre-Safe, and Pre-Safe Sound. Optional equipment includes lane-keep assist, evasive steering assist, a 360-degree camera system, park assist, and two levels of Distronic adaptive cruise control.
• Infotainment: Even the base model gets a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch touchscreen, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Higher trims add a Burmester 3D surround-sound system, a head-up display, and augmented-reality navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The C300 is rated at 29 mpg combined with rear-wheel drive and 27 mpg combined with all-wheel drive. Mercedes says the AWD version is unchanged from 2021, while the rear-wheel-drive model improves by 2 mpg in combined and city driving.

Which 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class trim should I buy?

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is offered in 3 trim levels: Premium, Exclusive, Pinnacle.

Here's the short version:

• Premium: This is the entry point, but it still gives you a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, an 11.9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED lighting, and a strong luxury feel. It is the best-value trim if you want the core C-Class experience without paying for extras you may not need.
• Exclusive: This trim adds more equipment than the base model and sits in the middle of the lineup, making it a sensible step up if you want a richer feature set without going all the way to the top.
• Pinnacle: This is the most fully equipped version, adding a head-up display and augmented-reality navigation, along with the most upscale presentation in the range. It suits you best if you want the most technology and convenience features.

Standard safety equipment includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with safe exit assist, a driver-attention monitor, Pre-Safe, and Pre-Safe Sound.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,922 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.51% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 83.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,237, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class's resale value?

The current average of $30,315 sits slightly below last year's $33,876.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, the current pricing trend means you may not see the same strong exit value that a higher-priced year would have supported.

Still, the C-Class has a premium badge, strong technology, and broad appeal among shoppers who want a luxury sedan with a polished cabin. Those traits can help support demand when it is time to sell, especially if the car has been well maintained and remains in clean condition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class safe?

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class does not have crash-test ratings available from IIHS or NHTSA in the source data.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Mercedes equips the C-Class with a broad set of standard driver-assistance features, including automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with safe exit assist, a driver-attention monitor, Pre-Safe, and Pre-Safe Sound. Optional features include lane-keep assist, evasive steering assist, a 360-degree camera system, dashcam, park assist, and two levels of Distronic adaptive cruise control.

One caveat is that the available adaptive cruise control still falls short of hands-free systems offered by some rivals. That means you get a strong safety toolkit, but not the most advanced hands-free capability in the class.

Should I buy a 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesigned model moves the nameplate upmarket with S-Class-inspired styling, strong technology, and a more premium cabin feel.

The bottom line: The 2022 model is the right pick if you want the redesigned C-Class experience, especially its upscale styling and tech-forward interior. If you are shopping primarily on price, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-priced example rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
