Used 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class for Sale nearNew Orleans, LA

How much does the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class cost?

Prices have softened 9.96% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,949 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used examples to compare.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

It stands out by moving the nameplate upmarket and borrowing design cues from Mercedes-Benz’s flagship S-Class, so you get a more premium feel than the entry-level badge might suggest. In testing, it impressed with stylish design, great ride quality, and impressive technology, which makes it especially appealing if you want comfort and a polished cabin experience as much as badge appeal.

The trade-offs are worth weighing: the transmission can be irritating, and performance is described as sluggish, so it is not the sharpest choice if you prioritize quick responses. Even so, the lineup’s rear-wheel-drive standard setup and optional 4Matic all-wheel drive give you a clear range of configurations, and 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 C-Class is positioned as a more premium take on Mercedes’ compact sedan formula, and its standard equipment and upscale cabin presentation support that impression. The expert evaluation also points to a refined ride and a well-executed technology package, both of which usually matter when you’re thinking about day-to-day ownership.

Its powertrain is described as having some roughness, including delayed acceleration and a transmission that can shift awkwardly, so you should expect to evaluate drivability carefully on a test drive. Mercedes also includes a four-year, 50,000-mile basic warranty and powertrain warranty, which helps, but used buyers should still pay close attention to service history and how smoothly the car behaves in real-world driving.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the transmission behavior, since the powertrain can feel less polished than the rest of the car. Also pay close attention to cabin condition and feature operation, because this model’s appeal depends heavily on its upscale presentation and technology.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Premium trim gets a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, an 11.9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 18-inch wheels, a sunroof, and ambient lighting, while higher trims add more luxury and convenience equipment. The Exclusive and Pinnacle trims build upward from there, with the Pinnacle adding a head-up display and augmented-reality navigation.
• Powertrain: The C300 uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. Mercedes also says the electric motor can contribute up to 20 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque in short bursts.
• Safety package: Standard safety features include automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with safe exit assist, a driver-attention monitor, Pre-Safe, and Pre-Safe Sound. Optional driver assistance features include lane-keep assist, evasive steering assist, a 360-degree camera system, dashcam, park assist, and two levels of Distronic adaptive cruise control.
• Infotainment: The C-Class uses an MBUX setup with a freestanding digital instrument cluster and portrait-oriented touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the system includes the “Zero Layer” interface; the top trim adds a head-up display and augmented-reality navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The C300 is rated at 29 mpg combined, 25 mpg city, and 35 mpg highway with rear-wheel drive, or 27 mpg combined, 27 mpg city, and 33 mpg highway with all-wheel drive.

Which 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class trim should I buy?

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is offered in 3 trim levels: Premium, Exclusive, and Pinnacle.

Here's the short version:

• Premium: This is the best-value starting point because it already gives you the core luxury and tech experience, including the 12.3-inch instrument cluster, 11.9-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, 18-inch wheels, a sunroof, and ambient lighting.
• Exclusive: Choose this if you want a step up in equipment without going all the way to the top trim; it adds more luxury content and sits in the middle of the lineup for shoppers who want a more upscale feel.
• Pinnacle: This is the trim to buy if you want the most complete version of the car, since it adds a head-up display and augmented-reality navigation on top of the already strong standard tech.

Standard safety equipment includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with safe exit assist, a driver-attention monitor, Pre-Safe, and Pre-Safe Sound.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop carefully without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,949 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.96% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,211, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class's resale value?

The current average of $30,267 sits slightly below last year's $33,616.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the current pricing trend means you should expect a softer exit than last year’s market supported.

The good news is that the C-Class still has strong appeal thanks to its premium image, upscale cabin, and strong technology story. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class safe?

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The 2022 Mercedes C-Class does get an array of advanced driver assistance systems, many of them standard. Standard safety features include automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with safe exit assist, a driver-attention monitor, Pre-Safe, and Pre-Safe Sound. Optional features include lane-keep assist, evasive steering assist, a 360-degree camera system, dashcam, park assist, and two levels of Distronic adaptive cruise control.

Crash-test ratings from IIHS and NHTSA were not available at the time of publication, so you should focus on the standard safety equipment and available driver-assistance features when comparing used examples. The car also offers Car-to-X communication, which can share road-condition warnings between vehicles.

Should I buy a 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesigned 2022 model moves the C-Class upmarket with S-Class-inspired styling, strong technology, and a more premium cabin feel.

The bottom line: If you want the newest C-Class design and the strongest blend of luxury presentation and technology, the 2022 is the right target. If you’re mainly shopping for value and want to stretch your budget further, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2022’s softer pricing and strong feature set make it a compelling used buy.
