Used 2022 Lincoln Navigator for Sale nearRochester, NY

How much does the 2022 Lincoln Navigator cost?

Prices have softened 15.03% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,098 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Lincoln Navigator a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Lincoln Navigator earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

The Navigator’s appeal comes through clearly in its classically elegant design, robust towing capacity, and soothing comfort in all three rows of seats. Lincoln also refreshed the SUV’s styling, comfort, technology, safety, and driving dynamics for this model year, which helps it feel more competitive against newer rivals.

The trade-offs are worth weighing: the grille design may not suit everyone, the interior chrome can feel excessive, and voice recognition needs fine-tuning. Even so, the Navigator fits you well if you want a full-size luxury SUV that emphasizes presence and refinement as much as capability.

33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Lincoln Navigator reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Navigator’s overall package points to strong day-to-day dependability for buyers who want a large luxury SUV with substantial capability and a comfortable cabin. Its powerful twin-turbo V6, updated suspension tuning, and improved braking hardware all support a more polished ownership experience than the previous model year.

The performance notes also point to a robust powertrain that handles towing, highway driving, and poor weather with confidence. Lincoln’s ownership perks, including valet service for maintenance visits, add a helpful convenience layer.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is the cost and complexity that come with a large luxury SUV, so a careful inspection and complete service history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Lincoln Navigator?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a full-size luxury SUV with advanced tech and driver-assistance systems. Focus on cabin condition, electronics, and evidence of regular maintenance, since those areas matter most in a vehicle like this.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2022 Navigator continues in standard and long-wheelbase styles with Standard, Reserve, and Black Label trim levels. The base trim gets the refreshed styling and major tech updates, but the higher trims add more luxury presentation and equipment, so you should compare them closely if you want the best mix of features and value.
• Powertrain: You get a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with a 10-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. It delivers 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque, with towing capacity ranging from 8,100 pounds to 8,700 pounds depending on configuration.
• Safety package: The Navigator adds Intersection Assist, Road Edge Detection, Active Park Assist 2.0, and ActiveGlide, and a surround-view camera system is newly standard. ActiveGlide is Lincoln’s hands-free highway driving tech, while Active Park Assist 2.0 can handle parallel and perpendicular parking.
• Infotainment: The updated Sync 4 system uses a 13.2-inch touchscreen, supports wireless-style smartphone integration through Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and includes over-the-air update capability. It also pairs with a digital instrument display and widescreen head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The Navigator 4WD should return 18 mpg in combined driving, and the test vehicle averaged 18.6 mpg on the route described.

Which 2022 Lincoln Navigator trim should I buy?

The 2022 Lincoln Navigator is offered in 3 trim levels: Standard, Reserve, and Black Label.

Here's the short version:

• Standard: This is the entry point, but it still brings the refreshed exterior styling, the new Sync 4 system with the 13.2-inch touchscreen, and the updated safety tech. It makes sense if you want the Navigator experience without chasing every luxury upgrade.
• Reserve: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it builds on the standard truck with more upscale presentation and a stronger luxury feel without jumping all the way to the top-tier price.
• Black Label: This is the one to choose if you want the most lavish Navigator experience. The review vehicle’s Central Park theme, premium cabin treatment, and second-row heated, ventilated, and massaging captain’s chairs show how far this trim can go.

The safety package adds Intersection Assist, Road Edge Detection, Active Park Assist 2.0, ActiveGlide, and a surround-view camera system, so even the lower trims are well equipped.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Lincoln Navigator?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, with enough inventory and enough deal activity to reward selective shopping.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,098 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.03% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $48,255, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Lincoln Navigator's resale value?

The current average of $48,255 sits slightly below last year's $56,794.

That price movement suggests the Navigator has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right number. If you purchase near the lower end of the current range, you may have less downside exposure than a buyer who paid closer to the original asking prices.

The model’s strong luxury appeal, capability, and broad feature set should help it remain desirable among shoppers who want a full-size premium SUV. A well-kept example with clean history and strong equipment should be easier to move later than one with visible wear or missing service records.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Lincoln Navigator safe?

The 2022 Lincoln Navigator earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Several new driver assistance systems debut on the 2022 Lincoln Navigator. They include Intersection Assist, Road Edge Detection, Active Park Assist 2.0, and ActiveGlide. A surround-view camera system is also newly standard for the SUV.

Intersection Assist can automatically brake when drivers attempt unsafe movements given traffic conditions. Road Edge Detection can sense where the pavement ends and attempt to steer the SUV away from a dirt road shoulder or grassy field. Active Park Assist 2.0 allows the Navigator to take complete control of parking in parallel and perpendicular spaces, while ActiveGlide provides hands-free driving on approved highways under the right conditions.

The main caveat is that ActiveGlide still requires your attention at all times, so it is not a substitute for active supervision. It also disengages in some tighter curves, which is worth keeping in mind if you expect it to handle every highway scenario.

Should I buy a 2022 Lincoln Navigator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 refresh adds new styling, Sync 4, and expanded driver-assistance tech.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $38,504, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $48,255 average.
• It delivers a quieter, more apartment-like luxury feel with strong power and premium materials.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $55,789, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $48,255 average.
• It keeps the Navigator’s towing strength while adding a spacious third row and more upscale family-friendly appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of updated tech, refreshed design, and current-market pricing, the 2022 is the smart target. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the value play; if you want to spend more for a newer model-year step up, the 2023 is the alternative to compare.
