Is the 2022 Lincoln Nautilus a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Lincoln Nautilus earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its stylish design, smooth ride, quiet cabin, and advanced technology. The overview also points to a comfort-first, upscale character, with a premium feel that suits you if you want a relaxed daily driver rather than a sporty crossover. The main trade-offs are the underwhelming base engine, the woozy ride in Comfort mode, and the cramped back seat.

At 32.8% good and great deals, the market still offers some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Lincoln Nautilus reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a reliable, comfortable, and trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers often highlighting the quiet cabin and the sense that the vehicle delivers long-term value through its features. The expert review also describes the Nautilus as dependable in daily use and as a comfortable road-trip companion.

Lincoln’s cost-effectiveness commentary also frames the model as a relative bargain versus similarly equipped luxury SUVs, which can help reduce ownership stress if you buy at the right price. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is paying too much for a higher-trim example when the base powertrain and rear-seat space may not match your expectations.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Lincoln Nautilus?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any listing you like, even if the car appears clean on paper. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the cabin electronics, ride quality, and any signs of uneven wear, since this model’s appeal depends heavily on comfort and technology. Focus on condition, because the nicest examples are the ones most likely to feel worth the premium.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Black Label brings the most luxury content, including distinctive interior themes, a simulated suede headliner, luxury floor mats, and nearly everything available on the Nautilus. The base setup is less lavish, so you should compare equipment carefully if you want the upscale look and feel.
• Powertrain: The standard turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder makes 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, with front-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission standard. Black Label adds a twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 with 335 hp and 380 lb-ft, and all-wheel drive is required.
• Safety package: Every Nautilus has Lincoln Co-Pilot360 1.0, which includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Black Label adds Lincoln Co-Pilot360 1.0 Plus with adaptive cruise control, lane-centering assistance, evasive steering assist, a surround-view camera system, parking sensors, and semi-autonomous parking assist.
• Infotainment: The Nautilus uses a 13.2-inch touchscreen with Sync 4, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, over-the-air updates, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Lincoln Connect, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and SiriusXM 360L. Higher-spec examples may also include connected navigation, wireless charging, and a 19-speaker Revel audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The twin-turbo V6 is rated at 21 mpg in combined driving and 25 mpg on the highway.

Which 2022 Lincoln Nautilus trim should I buy?

The 2022 Lincoln Nautilus is offered in 3 trim levels: Nautilus, Nautilus Reserve, Nautilus Black Label.

Here's the short version:

• Nautilus: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Nautilus experience with the standard turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, front-wheel drive, and the full Lincoln Co-Pilot360 1.0 safety suite. It makes sense if you want the luxury look and tech without stretching into the pricier trims.
• Nautilus Reserve: This is the best-value choice if you want a stronger mix of equipment and price. It keeps the standard powertrain but adds more upscale content than the base model, making it the trim most likely to satisfy you if you want a well-equipped luxury crossover without going all the way to Black Label.
• Nautilus Black Label: This is the most luxurious version, with the twin-turbo V6, all-wheel drive, Lincoln Co-Pilot360 1.0 Plus, and the richest interior presentation. Choose it if you want the plushest Nautilus and are willing to pay for the extra content.

Black Label also gets the expanded safety package, while the lower trims stick with the standard Co-Pilot360 1.0 setup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Lincoln Nautilus?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,709 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.11% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,549, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Lincoln Nautilus's resale value?

The current average of $29,549 sits slightly below last year's $34,404.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, it also means you should be realistic about how much value the Nautilus may retain if you plan to trade it in later. Well-equipped examples with strong condition and desirable features should still draw attention, but the broader trend favors buyers more than sellers right now.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Lincoln Nautilus safe?

The 2022 Lincoln Nautilus earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, with a four-star rating for rollover resistance.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Every Nautilus comes with Lincoln Co-Pilot360 1.0, which includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Black Label adds Lincoln Co-Pilot360 1.0 Plus, which brings adaptive cruise control, lane-centering assistance, evasive steering assist, a surround-view camera system, parking sensors, and semi-autonomous parking assist.

The main caveat is that IIHS has not assessed the Nautilus for safety, so you should lean on the NHTSA result and the standard driver-assistance equipment when evaluating it.

Should I buy a 2022 Lincoln Nautilus or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.11% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 brings the updated Sync 4 infotainment system with over-the-air updates and wireless smartphone integration.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $25,419, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $29,549 average.
• It emphasizes elegant styling, a plush interior, and a hushed, comfortable ride.

The bottom line: Choose the 2022 if you want the newer tech and a strong mix of comfort, safety, and market availability. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the better value play, especially if you mainly want the Nautilus’s quiet, upscale character.
