How much does the 2022 Kia Stinger cost?

Prices have softened 2.30% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 465 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2022 Kia Stinger a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Kia Stinger earns a 4.9/5 user rating and an 8.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its luxurious feel, strong performance, comfortable interior, and advanced technology. That lines up with the overview: you get a performance sedan with rear-wheel-drive character, distinctive styling, and a value-focused appeal that still feels upscale.

The main trade-offs are a cramped back seat and sluggish touchscreen response, so you should expect some compromises if you plan to carry adults often or want the quickest infotainment experience. Even so, the market shows 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still attractive buys out there.

Is the 2022 Kia Stinger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels luxurious, fast, and technologically advanced, and it also highlights impressive performance and a comfortable interior. That kind of feedback usually matters most when you’re trying to judge whether a used car will feel dependable over time.

The expert review also emphasizes that the Stinger’s driving manners have improved since its early years, with most of the growing pains worked out by 2022. Kia also positions the car as a value play with premium feel and lower long-term ownership costs than many rivals.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a performance-oriented car can be more sensitive to maintenance history and prior use, so condition matters a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Kia Stinger?

At 72.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been driven hard or modified. Focus on body condition, brake feel, tire wear, and whether the infotainment and driver-assistance features work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The GT-Line features a different lighting setup and 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, while GT models get more LEDs and 19-inch alloys. GT2 models add the most upscale equipment, including a head-up display and 360-degree surround view, while the GT-Line is the entry point.
• Powertrain: The GT-Line uses a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 300 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque, while GT models keep the 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 with 368 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. All models use an eight-speed automatic, with RWD standard and AWD available.
• Safety package: Drive Wise is standard, and it includes lane keep assist, lane departure warning, high-beam assist, blind-spot monitoring plus collision avoidance, rear cross-traffic alert plus collision avoidance, forward-collision avoidance plus pedestrian/cyclist detection and junction-turning assist, navigation-based adaptive cruise control, lane follow assist, safe exit warning, and highway driving assist. Forward parking assist, a head-up display, and a 360-degree surround view remain GT2-only.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 10.25-inch infotainment display, wireless smartphone charging, navigation with Uvo link, Uvo eServices remote commands, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, multi-device Bluetooth connectivity, and split-screen functionality. GT2 models add a 7-inch TFT display with blind-spot live video feed and a customizable head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The GT-Line RWD returns 22 mpg city and 32 mpg highway. AWD variants return 21 mpg city and 29 mpg highway. GT RWD models return 18 mpg city and 25 mpg highway, while GT AWD models return 17 mpg city and 24 mpg highway.

Which 2022 Kia Stinger trim should I buy?

The 2022 Kia Stinger is offered in 3 trim levels: GT-Line, GT1, GT2.

Here's the short version:

• GT-Line: This is the best-value choice if you want the Stinger’s new 300-hp turbo-four, standard 10.25-inch infotainment display, wireless smartphone charging, and the expanded standard safety suite without paying for the V6 trims.
• GT1: This trim is the middle ground, adding the larger V6 powertrain and more upscale equipment while staying more value-oriented than the top trim.
• GT2: This is the one to buy if you want the most features, including the 15-speaker audio system, head-up display, blind-spot live video feed, and the most complete safety and convenience content.

GT2 models are the only ones that get forward parking assist, a head-up display, and a 360-degree surround view.

• Deal availability: 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 465 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.30% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 72.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,685, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Kia Stinger's resale value?

The current average of $28,262 sits slightly below last year's $28,927.

That tells you the market has softened a bit, which can help you as a buyer now but may temper resale upside if you plan to sell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger hit later.

The good news is that the Stinger still has strong enthusiast appeal, and its distinctive styling and performance focus help it stand out from more ordinary used sedans. That can support demand when you eventually list it.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Kia Stinger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 refresh brings more power, updated design touches, and new technology features.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $24,974, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $28,262 average.
• It is presented as an absolute value performance/luxury car with multiple powertrain options.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger feature set, improved power, and better safety tech, the 2022 is the better pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 can still make sense as a value-focused alternative.
