Used 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe for Sale nearSeattle, WA

How much does the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe cost?

Prices have softened 17.74% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,746 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe a good car?

Generally — the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe earns a 4/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

It stands out as the most efficient Grand Cherokee ever when you keep it charged, and it still preserves the off-road capability you expect from the nameplate. The plug-in hybrid setup adds 25 miles of all-electric driving, which broadens its appeal if you want a more fuel-conscious SUV without giving up Jeep character.

The main trade-offs are that the interior materials feel cheap and the towing rating trails the gas-powered versions. If you want a capable, electrified SUV with strong tech, it fits well; if cabin polish and towing matter more, you may want to look harder at alternatives.

The market shows 33.8% good or great deals, which is a decent sign that shoppers can still find value.

Is the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe is presented as a familiar SUV with a new plug-in hybrid powertrain, and the expert data emphasizes that it can still go off the path like a Jeep should. Its efficiency depends heavily on keeping the battery charged, and the expert notes also point out that cold weather can reduce efficiency.

The powertrain is described as delivering strong output and a total driving range of 470 miles, while regenerative braking and selectable drive modes add flexibility for everyday use. If you plan to use it as intended and keep it plugged in regularly, ownership risk looks more manageable than if you ignore the charging side of the equation.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially because this model’s value depends so much on condition and charging habits. Focus on whether the battery has been used and maintained as intended, and pay close attention to cabin wear since the interior materials are a known weak point.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Even the base 4xe is described as comfortable and close to upscale, while the Overland adds leather seats, wood and metal accents, heated and ventilated front seats, and bronze contrast stitching. The Trailhawk is the most off-road-capable trim, and the Summit Reserve adds more luxury-oriented equipment.
• Powertrain: The plug-in hybrid setup pairs a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder with a battery pack for 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. It uses standard four-wheel drive, and the data says efficiency is strongest when the battery stays charged.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, rear parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic alert. Intersection-collision assist is standard on the Summit and Summit Reserve, while front parking sensors and the surround-view camera vary by trim.
• Infotainment: Uconnect 5 is the infotainment system, and the Grand Cherokee 4xe includes a 10.25-inch front-passenger display on the base trim, a 10.25-inch digital driver display on all trims, wireless charging as an option, and four USB ports standard.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert data cites 56 MPGe, 25 miles of all-electric range, and 23 miles per gallon once the battery is depleted.

Which 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe trim should I buy?

The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe is offered in 5 trim levels: base 4xe, Trailhawk, Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve.

Here's the short version:

• base 4xe: This is the best-value starting point if you want the plug-in hybrid powertrain, standard four-wheel drive, and the core tech and safety equipment without paying for luxury extras.
• Trailhawk: Choose this if off-road use matters most, since it is the most capable trim and is the one the expert data points to for maximum trail ability.
• Overland: This is the sweet spot for many shoppers because it adds leather, wood and metal accents, heated and ventilated front seats, and a more upscale cabin feel.
• Summit: Move here if you want more premium features and available advanced safety and convenience equipment, including standard intersection-collision assist.
• Summit Reserve: Pick this if you want the most luxurious version, with the most standard equipment and the strongest premium presentation.

The safety package is broad across the lineup, but some features move up the trim ladder, so it pays to compare equipment carefully.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,746 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.74% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,299, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe's resale value?

The current average of $26,299 sits slightly below last year's $31,970.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now. For a future seller, it also means resale value may be more sensitive to mileage, condition, and whether the battery system has been used properly.

Because the model still has strong appeal as a capable plug-in hybrid SUV, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than neglected ones. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe safe?

The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe has not been crash-tested by IIHS or NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Jeep equips it with automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, rear parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic alert. Intersection-collision assist is standard on the Summit and Summit Reserve, while front parking sensors and the surround-view camera vary by trim.

Jeep also says a hands-off driver-assistance suite is coming, but it requires additional hardware and was not available to early buyers via an OTA update. That means you should compare trims carefully if advanced safety tech matters to you.

Should I buy a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.74% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 brings a plug-in hybrid Grand Cherokee with 25 miles of all-electric driving and strong off-road capability.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $27,490, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $26,299 average.
• It adds gloss black exterior accents and a new 30th Anniversary model.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the better value if you want the plug-in hybrid Grand Cherokee experience at a lower average price and with strong market availability. If you want the newer-year updates and are willing to pay more, the 2023 is the cleaner next step; otherwise, the 2022 is the smarter buy for price-sensitive shoppers.
