It is a budget-friendly subcompact SUV that makes the most of its small footprint, so you get easy parking and practical maneuverability in tight spaces. The 2022 Venue’s formula is simple, with front-wheel drive only and no hybrid or all-wheel-drive complexity, which can help keep ownership straightforward. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about complexity and more about whether the vehicle’s condition and maintenance history have been kept up.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Hyundai Venue?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus your inspection on signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or poor repairs. Because the Venue is a small, value-focused SUV, condition matters a lot: check that the interior, infotainment system, and safety features all work as expected. A careful test drive should also confirm that the vehicle feels consistent under braking, acceleration, and low-speed maneuvering.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Hyundai Venue?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings closely and move when you find a strong example.

• Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 668 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.58% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,130, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Hyundai Venue's resale value?

The current average of $16,130 sits slightly below last year's $17,267.

That softer pricing suggests the Venue is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago, which can help you if you're shopping now. For a future seller, the recent decline means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is equipped. Because the model is positioned as an affordable, practical SUV, clean examples should still attract interest from value-focused shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Hyundai Venue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $14,242, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $16,130 average.
• It offers a very small crossover shape with a hatchback-like footprint.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and buyer confidence, the 2022 is the better primary target. If your main goal is to spend less upfront, the 2021 is the more price-sensitive alternative and may be worth a closer look.
