What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Hyundai Palisade?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SE is well-equipped, while the upper trim level adds a more near-luxury feel and more premium equipment.
• Powertrain: It uses a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter V6 with direct gasoline injection and an eight-speed automatic transmission, with front-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes blind-spot collision avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, lane-following assist, safe exit assist, and more. Highway Driving Assist is optional on SEL and standard on Limited and Calligraphy.
• Infotainment: The system includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with an 8-inch screen on SE and SEL and a 10.25-inch screen on Limited and Calligraphy. OTA capability is not stated.

Which 2022 Hyundai Palisade trim should I buy?

The 2022 Hyundai Palisade is offered in 4 trim levels: SE, SEL, Limited, Calligraphy.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the value-focused starting point, and it’s the trim to consider if you want the Palisade’s space, style, and core safety equipment without paying for extras you may not need.
• SEL: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds meaningful convenience and tech upgrades while staying below the luxury-leaning upper trims.
• Limited: Choose this if you want a more premium experience, including the larger display, upgraded audio, and more advanced tech features.
• Calligraphy: This is the top choice if you want the most upscale version of the Palisade, with the richest feature set and the strongest near-luxury presentation.

Safety-wise, the Palisade’s standard driver-assistance suite is broad, and Highway Driving Assist becomes standard on Limited and Calligraphy.

If you find a listing below $25,492, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Hyundai Palisade's resale value?

The current average of $25,492 sits slightly below last year's $29,551.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, it means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained.

Because the Palisade still has strong demand as a family-focused three-row SUV, clean examples should remain easier to move than neglected ones. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Hyundai Palisade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines a polished design with a quiet cabin and a spacious third row.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $22,745, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $25,492 average.
• It adds more standard equipment and a new luxury-themed trim.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $30,713, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $25,492 average.
• It adds a facelift and more tech and safety features.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and availability, the 2022 is the strongest all-around pick. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 gives you a lower entry price, while the 2023 makes sense if you want the newer updates and can pay more.
