Used 2022 Honda Ridgeline for Sale nearColorado Springs, CO

How much does the 2022 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 8.20% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,029 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Honda Ridgeline earns a 4.65/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spacious interior, smooth ride, and useful features like the in-bed trunk and dual-function tailgate. The review summary also points to solid value, which matters if you want a truck that feels practical in everyday use.

The trade-offs are clear: the transmission can feel irritating, and the technology is dated. That fits the Ridgeline’s role as a midsize pickup for buyers who want truck utility with a more crossover-like driving feel rather than a rugged, work-first setup.

Only 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the best examples may take some shopping.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.65/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels comfortable, solid, and useful over time, with repeated praise for its smooth ride and practical features. That kind of consistency matters when you’re trying to judge whether a used truck will hold up to daily life.

The expert evaluation also emphasizes the Ridgeline’s refined, car-like driving character and its strong overall usability, which supports the idea that it should be easy to live with long term. Honda’s warranty coverage is standard for the segment, which is reassuring but not especially generous.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright durability and more about living with dated tech and a transmission that may not feel as polished as the rest of the truck.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda Ridgeline?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on how the truck drives, how the transmission behaves, and whether the cabin electronics respond properly. It also makes sense to inspect the body and bed features closely, since this truck’s appeal depends heavily on everyday usability.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Sport trim leaves out blind spot monitoring and SiriusXM, while the RTL-E and Black Edition add automatic high beams. The higher trims also bring more equipment, so the base model is the most stripped-down choice.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-liter V6 with 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and standard AWD. The setup is smooth enough for daily use, but it is not the quickest or most responsive in the segment.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, Road Departure Mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. Blind spot monitoring is standard on all but the base Sport trim, and automatic high beams are standard on the RTL-E and Black Edition.
• Infotainment: The Ridgeline uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth. SiriusXM is available on all but the base Sport trim, and navigation is limited to the RTL-E and Black Edition.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA-rated fuel economy is 21 mpg combined, 18 mpg city, and 24 mpg highway.

Which 2022 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2022 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, RTL, RTL-E, Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it is also the most bare-bones version. It gives you the Ridgeline’s core comfort and utility, but you give up blind spot monitoring and SiriusXM, so it makes the most sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model.
• RTL: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more everyday comfort and convenience without jumping all the way to the top of the range. If you want a nicer used Ridgeline without paying for the most expensive equipment, this is the one to focus on.
• RTL-E: This trim adds more premium equipment, including navigation and automatic high beams. It suits you if you want a more fully equipped truck and plan to keep it for a while.
• Black Edition: This is the most upscale version, with the most distinctive appearance and the richest feature set in the lineup. It makes sense if you want the most content and do not mind paying for it.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, while blind spot monitoring is missing only from the Sport.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Ridgeline?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you have room to compare listings and wait for the right truck.

• Deal availability: 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,029 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.20% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,366, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $29,366 sits slightly below last year's $31,988.

That decline suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means sellers may need to price carefully to stay competitive. If you own one, the current trend points to a softer resale environment than a year ago, especially if your truck lacks desirable equipment or has higher mileage.

Even so, the Ridgeline’s practical layout and strong owner satisfaction help support demand. Well-kept examples with the right features should still attract shoppers who want a comfortable, versatile midsize truck.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.65/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2022 Honda Ridgeline earns Good IIHS results in most crash tests, though it received an Average score in the passenger-side small overlap frontal test and a Marginal headlight rating. It also earns five-star ratings from NHTSA overall, with five-star ratings in frontal and side crash tests and four-star ratings in rollover crash testing.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, Road Departure Mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. Blind spot monitoring is standard on all but the base Sport trim, and automatic high beams are standard on the RTL-E and Black Edition.

The main safety caveat is the weaker headlight result, plus the fact that a 360-degree camera system is not included.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.65/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the Ridgeline’s comfort-first, crossover-like truck formula with no major changes.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,109, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $29,366 average.
• It brings a freshened look and improved truck-like styling.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $31,465, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $29,366 average.
• It emphasizes practical daily-driver appeal with strong safety and versatility.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and available inventory, the 2022 is the smart default. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 can save you money while keeping much of the same appeal. If you want to spend more for a newer model-year alternative, the 2023 is worth a look, but the 2022 remains the value sweet spot.
