How much does the 2022 Honda Pilot cost?

Prices have softened 10.39% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,004 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2022 Honda Pilot a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Honda Pilot earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise the spacious interior, smooth ride, and quiet cabin, and many also like the family-friendly comfort and useful features. That makes it a strong fit if you want a practical midsize SUV for daily family use, especially since the 2022 model includes standard tech and safety equipment that adds value. With 32.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive price.

Is the 2022 Honda Pilot reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also leans toward dependable everyday use, with drivers repeatedly calling out the Pilot’s smooth ride, quiet cabin, and comfortable, family-friendly layout. The recurring praise for spaciousness and useful features suggests a vehicle that many owners feel confident living with over time.

For used buyers, that kind of satisfaction usually lowers ownership anxiety, though you should still focus on maintenance history and overall condition before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda Pilot?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report to confirm the vehicle’s background and look for any prior damage or title issues. Then prioritize a thorough inspection of the interior, electronics, and comfort features, since those are central to the Pilot’s appeal. It’s also smart to pay close attention to overall condition and maintenance records so you can separate a well-kept example from one that has simply been driven a lot.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Pilot?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,004 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.39% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 77.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,972, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $27,972 sits slightly below last year's $31,214.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For future resale, a lower purchase price can reduce your downside if you sell later, especially if the vehicle stays in strong condition and remains appealing to family buyers. The Pilot’s broad usefulness and steady demand profile should help it remain marketable, even if values have softened recently.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.39% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $24,810, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $27,972 average.
• It emphasizes everyday usefulness, comfort, and straightforward technology.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $36,158, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $27,972 average.
• It brings a full redesign with a more rugged look and more power.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around choice if you want a well-equipped Pilot at a softened market price. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 is the value play; if you want the newest design and can spend more, the 2023 is the upgrade path.
