How much does the 2019 Honda Pilot cost?

Prices have softened 8.04% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,277 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2019 Honda Pilot a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Honda Pilot earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its spacious interior, comfortable second and third rows, and family-friendly features. It also stands out for its ample cargo space and easy-to-use technology, making it a practical fit if you want a roomy three-row SUV for everyday use. With 33.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2019 Honda Pilot reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with many drivers describing the Pilot as comfortable and family-friendly over time. That said, some owners mention minor soundproofing and transmission performance concerns, so a careful test drive and inspection still matter on the used market. For long-term ownership, you should focus on maintenance history and overall condition to reduce the risk of buying a neglected example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Honda Pilot?

At 66% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report to confirm accident records, title status, and service history. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing has higher mileage or incomplete maintenance documentation. Pay close attention to cabin condition, transmission behavior, and any signs of prior bodywork so you can separate a clean, well-kept SUV from one that may need extra attention.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Honda Pilot?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find value.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,277 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.04% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 66.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,339, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $20,339 sits slightly below last year's $22,118.

That price movement suggests the Pilot has softened in the used market, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Well-kept examples should hold up better than average, especially if they have clean history and strong documentation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 66% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $22,138, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $20,339 average.
• It adds an adult-friendly third row and an impressive list of standard safety features.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2019 is the stronger starting point because it combines lower pricing with strong owner satisfaction. If you can stretch your budget and want a newer model-year alternative, the 2020 is the better secondary path for buyers who prioritize added standard safety and a slightly newer vehicle.
