How much does the 2022 Honda Pilot cost?

Prices have softened 10.20% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,025 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2022 Honda Pilot a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Honda Pilot earns a 4.83/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise the spacious interior, smooth ride, and quiet cabin, and many also value the family-friendly comfort and useful features. That fits especially well if you want a midsize SUV that prioritizes everyday usability, cargo space, and easy-to-live-with tech. With 37.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2022 Honda Pilot reliable?

Owners rate it 4.83/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience centered on comfort and practicality, with many owners describing it as a vehicle they can count on for family use. That said, some shoppers should still watch for condition-related issues on used examples, especially if prior maintenance history is incomplete. For long-term ownership, the biggest risk is buying a neglected example rather than the model itself.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda Pilot?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully, because even a strong accident-free share does not guarantee the specific vehicle you’re considering has a clean past. Prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially for signs of wear in the interior, suspension, and electronics. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records so you can separate a well-kept family SUV from one that has been heavily used.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Pilot?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best listings.

• Deal availability: 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,025 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.20% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,211, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $28,211 sits slightly below last year's $31,415.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. If you plan to sell later, the current softness may limit short-term appreciation, but it can also make the vehicle easier to move if you buy well. Strong demand for roomy, family-oriented SUVs should still support interest from future shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.83/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.83/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $24,962, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $28,211 average.
• It emphasizes everyday usefulness, comfort, and straightforward technology.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $36,572, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $28,211 average.
• It brings a fully redesigned look with more power and broader appeal.

The bottom line:

The 2022 is the best all-around choice if you want a well-equipped Pilot with strong owner satisfaction and a softer price than last year. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 is the value play because it delivers the Pilot’s core strengths for less money. If you want the newest design and are willing to pay more, the 2023 is the upgrade path.
